Fun fact: There are reportedly 17,000 websites dedicated to Aishwarya Rai and her mesmerizing eyes. Snag a little bit of the Bollywood legend's look with these eye-brightening cream shadows from Indian-inspired brand Sumita. The easy-to-use pencils let you contour and line like a pro, while the pretty shades add instant drama. The long-lasting formula clings to lids and has a subtle (not over-the-top) shimmer.
This product glides on easily, and the color seems to stay very well. I wore it on a night out and it still help up the entire night!5
Normally I would like a more basic color but this product is great. I'm glad that I was given this sample because I generally wouldn't spend money on a color so bold. Thanks Birchbox!!3
I hated the color so much, it was this horrible greenish color and it was so bad I refused to walk out of the house looking like that! No thank you! Who chooses colors like these? Ugh!3
The liner is really smooth, not like the rough pencil I thought it might be. The color is funky and different, but not for everyday use.4
The first thing I found out about the Sumita brand is that it’s a Bollywood/Indian inspired line which I think is really neat and makes the product more unique. I loved this pencil! LOVED! It was SO SOFT! After mentally thinking back I don’t think I’ve ever experienced an eye pencil this soft. I was a bit worried about breakage due to the texture, but that proved to be aimless. The eye pencil glides on super easy. After a day of wear the color was still there. It didn’t smudge or crack or disappear. Those are rare qualities my friend. The best part though to me? The color was vibrant and noticeably gold but not overwhelming on the eyes. This is the middle ground that I have finally been looking for because so many others were on one of the two ends of the spectrum. I will definitely be trying out more colors from this line in the future! I had been searching for quality gold eye pencils since I read The Hunger Games. The Sumita Jaipur Gold Eyeshadow Pencil is a gold eye pencil that even Cinna would be proud of.4
Jaipur Gold color is perfect for hazel eyes. Pencil is very creamy giving it a super smooth application. Blends nicely and stays on5
This is sooo great... Very smooth and easy application and stays all day5
not the best product. color does not stay for too long, i am not really into darker shades either. not really into the whole eye pencil thing. got a greenish color and do not really care for it.4
This eyeliner was very easy to apply and lasted all day. I received the olivey color in my Birchbox and it was a great alternative to the brown eyeliners I usually use. Definitely will purchase more colors!5
This makes a decent eyeliner, if you would like to use it as that. It's not the greatest I've ever tried, but it does work well enough for me. Gorgeous golden olive color. I like using it as a base for eyeshadows best, which is it's intended purpose. I don't normally gravitate towards brown eyeliner too much...it's a pretty shade and will get used but I doubt I would use it more than my blacker than black eyeliners. It isn't too great in the waterline...it doesn't seem to last very long in there. It didn't irritate my eyes. On the upper or lower lash line it had semi-decent staying power. I have watery eyes though and it didn't seem to pull through as I would normally have liked, although this can be fixed by using a similar colored powder eyeshadow to set it. As an eyeshadow base it held up pretty well. I tend to gravitate towards colors like the shade I received for the neutral looks I do. The color really made my brown eyes pop. I'd love to see how the other colors perform.4
