Souvenirs from our youth we just can’t seem to part with include Hanson CDs and acne scars. While we haven’t yet been able to discard the former, we’re thankfully able to bid farewell to the latter with Yes To™’s Grapefruit Dark Spot Correcting Serum. Due in large part to power ingredient grapefruit, the serum’s lightweight formula minimizes the appearances of blemishes, revitalizes damaged skin, evens out skin tone, and brightens and firms… meaning that we’ll be hoarding it about as intensely as we did those CDs.
I have some major discoloration of the upper lip -- basically, it looks like a mustache. So I'm desperate to try anything, and I read some of the earlier reviews saying that this worked magic on the discoloration. I didn't even mind the description of the product as sticky, goopy, gross-feeling; I figured if it could fix the dark spots, I'd put up with any texture.
Well, two months later of morning and nightly use and it has NOT fixed the dark spots in the slightest. More importantly, you cannot use this product if you layer other creams and cosmetics on top. They will congeal on your face and you will end up pulling creamy boogers off your face all day. This product can handle maybe one day cream on top of it, but heaven forbid you try to put on sunscreen (which you should put on when using any dark spot corrector!) or BB cream.
Do not make the same mistake I did; do not purchase this product.
I went through the entire bottle of this stuff and never really saw any results. I have 3 sun spots that I focused on and even at the end of the bottle I couldn't tell a difference.
I started dry heaving the minute I put it on my face. Do not buy if you are sensitive to smells. Didn't get a chance to see if it actually works because I can't handle the smell so I threw it away.1
I was excited to try this product because I was looking for something to get rid of some dark marks and even out my skin tone and I liked that this was a serum instead of a spot treatment. Plus, I love anything grapefruit. I read some mixed reviews so I knew that it would be somewhat sticky, but I thought that I could get past that if it worked.
When I tried it, I thought that I had received a bad batch because it smelled horrible and the consistency was awful. It is like putting glue on your face. It is the most uncomfortable thing I have ever put on my face. I have not used it enough to even tell if it improves my skin tone because I hate the feeling of it so much.
I like most of the Yes To products, but I honestly do not know how anyone could like this product. It is horrible!
I love the Yes To products, but this product left a sticky residue on my face after I applied it. I am hesitant to continue using it because I don't like the way my face feels after its applied. I love all of the other products from this line, but this one isn't my favorite.3
In general I play be yes to products and use them daily but this is the exception this stuff not only burns and peels your skin it has a horrible smell and is terribly sticky and thick like honey it did not help my scars either1
some dark spots showed up on my cheek this summer and they we dark. Ordered this and within a week of using it twice a day they are almost gone!!!! Price was great and it goes on great under my BB cream.5
So far I have been using this product for awhile and I haven't noticed much of a difference but a few spots are fairly lighter. The texture is very sticky and has a sourish smell to it. Although I do think the price for this product is very affordable.3
I've been using this product for about a week now and so far I am noticing lightening of dark spots. I plan to continue using this for a while.4
I have been using this for about a week now and I have already noticed a more even skin tone. Not to mention it leaves my skin feeling smooth. I use before I put on moisturizer. Just a little bit goes a long way.4
