Keeping lips looking fresh throughout the day often requires multiple products to lock in moisture and color. But this lasting solution covers all the bases: it acts as a moisturizer, stain, and lacquer. Each glossy shade contains a minty-fresh flavor. You’ll be tempted to say that this product is the bomb. (Sorry, we had to.)
Oh how I wanted to love this lip stain. Birchbox had introduced me to my all time favorite lip color by this same Aussie manufacturer over a year ago, Mirenesse's Glossy Kiss (Amazing, seriously, add one to your cart, rightnow), and I've been looking forward to trying other items from their line. I ordered the Lip Bomb Glossy Lacquer Stain in #2, a similar cool blue red to the Glossy Kiss I already loved, and while the color IS nice, the fact that it is so highly pigmented means it ends up EVERYWHERE. It seemed to be missing the "staining" feature, but the "smearing" feature was there in full! The sponge wand applicator doesn't do you much good, but even when using my own tools and prepping with translucent powder and concealer around my lips to keep the lacquer in place, nothing helped. I had beautiful, cool blue toned red all over my hand towels, my clothes, my face...
I ordered a surprise discount package from Mirenesse on their FB page after receiving a lovely lip crayon in my BIrchbox. Anyway, in the surprise pack of 3 items for around $20, I received this lip bomb in shade 21. It is horribly frosty and tastes like chemicals. I cannot recommend this regardless of color or price. Wanted to love, but was very disappointed in the finish and cheap feel/taste on my lips. I also received a frosty bronze lipstick (mai tai shade) in the package and it was pretty awful, but not quite as bad as the gloss. Again, the lip crayon sent the Birchbox was good (not special, but good). However, the lip Bomb is indeed a HUGE bomb.1
I ordered the # 8 which on my tablet screen looked like a pale pink. It's so pale it looks whitish on my lips. Not a good look. Pretty disappointed2
For an expensive price tag, I expected an unbelievable product. Unfortunately the number 8 shade is not so much a stain or lacquer and it was not moisturizing. Not sure what this "lip bomb" is supposed to be, but it felt horrible on the lips and looked even worse. Definitely not a brand I will be using ever again.1
I've had the bright red for a while, and it's a great product! Very pigmented and comparable to OCC's liptars line, though maybe not as long lasting if you're going to eat dinner with it on. But comparable in the sense that you can also blend the colours!
You'll probably need a red lip liner since there is minor bleeding. But I would highly recommend this product and am excited to see it in BB's store.
I have own this gloss for awhile and am in love with it the colors are BOLD not for the shy at all its silky shinny and if you want a matte look just dap with tissue the color stays bold and beautiful5
I love bold lip colors and this lives up to the expectation! However, it does not apply easily, it's very thick and sticky, stains around the mouth, gets on the teeth. Not worth the money! I feel so self conscious when wearing it!1
I am not sure why this got some bad reviews. I love this product! It is highly pigmented and lasts much longer than other lipgloss. It is helpful to use a lip liner but I don't think it's messy. It's not a liquid lipstick so you can't expect it to dry like one.5
This product I wasn't so crazy about. I do love other Mirenesse products so I purchased this lip color just to try. It's a little too heavy for me and feels a little gummy on my lips. Beautiful colors tho. Maybe for a younger age group.3
Shade 29 is a very nice red. I thought this was fairly easy to apply, and the color is beautiful. It lasted a long time. I did realize after the first time applying that it takes a while to set. I touched it, and it smeared a little.4
