Miss Jessie's® is known as "The Proven Expert in Curls" for a reason, and when it comes to managing our curly hair (which often seems to have a mind of its own), we could certainly use a dash of expertise. This cult favorite is specifically formulated to leave hair supersoft and crunch-free, while delivering enough hold and definition to keep frizz at bay on even the most humid summer days. Bonus: The gentle gel won't affect any chemical treatments.
This would have been much easier to use more than once had it been in a close able container.
This did nothing for my unruly curly hair.
I have very short hair and don't use styling products. Going to a friend....1
So disappointing. Applied to damp hair and it left it curly but heavy. Touchable curls? Where. Yuck who would want to? My hair was a hot mess and curls lasted about six hours before frizz set in and looked like an untamed lions mane1
I'm over samplers for curly hair. For one, I do have naturally wavy hair, however, I rarely wear it that way. I prefer to curl, or flat iron. This wouldn't necessarily be a product that I would even bother to purchase even if I did wear it wavy. Feels to greasy.1
I have a very nice medium of curly hair, it can go either limp and frizzy or really bouncy and lots of volume. When I got this sample I was really excited because to try new curling gels and creams means to buy a big bottle and sometimes the outcome isn't too great. SO I washed my hair, put in this fabulous cream (which shares my same name!) and watched as my hair fell so limp and frizzy. I was so dissapointed. And on top of it, the gel didn't have any smell to it, which isn't a deal breaker but if I am going to wear it a lot I would like for it to have some sort of smell. So, I am happy I know now not to purchase this in a huge bottle.1
This product dried my hair out because of the alcohol based ingredients. Curly haired people should not use products containing alcohol based products.1
I have now tried this sample several times on my curly hair and each time it's as if I put nothing in my hair. It frizzes up within hours. I have tried using only as much as the packaging states and I have tried using a larger amount, dividing my hair into sections to get good coverage. I used this as part of my hair plopping routine. It was a fail. I simply do not understand how a product that promises such big delivery was such a big fali for my hair. Maybe it works for someone with more finer hair, less textured than mine, but it was no dice for this wiry head of curls.1
I was super psyched to see this in February's box.
Turns out it was terrible - made my hair frizzy and dried the heck out of it.
Definetly won't purchase. Bummer.
My hair got frizzy and felt realy dry and tangeled.
I let it air dry after washing and by the time I left the house my hair looked like a mess. The next day I wet it a little and applyed some more ( i thoght I might have not put on enough the first time) it was worse.
This product was terrible for my curls. I normally use Dove mousse for curly hair because it leaves my hair still touchable. And this product was terrible now I know why gel isn't a good idea for curly hair! It left my hair so sticky to the touch and FRIZZY. I had to rewash my hair because it looked so bad.
I've never been compelled to write a review before but this product was horrible.
