If you can't pop into Baxter's L.A. barbershop—a throwback with vintage porcelain chairs and hot towel treatments—this shave cream is the next best thing. A smooth, spreadable formula provides a protective barrier for skin and ensures a smooth shave. Tea tree oil, witch hazel, menthol, and peppermint prevent razor burn while leaving behind the signature tingle of a shave well-done.
I ended up springing for the full size of this product. I have very sensitive skin and I can shave regularly with this product without it turning my skin bright red. My razor glides smoothly and I rarely cut myself when using this stuff.5
I thought the product did a nice job, however I would not purchase it due to price. I have heard of the brand before and received other birchbox samples.4
With my thick beard I have to say I was a bit skeptical about Baxter of California Super Close Shave Formula. But, after one use I noticed how well it actually works, and the more I used it the closer the shave seemed to become. This was the biggest surprise from this months box. I will be getting this product in the future once I use up the last of my current product. I cannot wait to add this to my daily routine.4
I have really sensitive skin, so usually shaving kind of destroys my face. Not with this shaving cream though, i dont think ive ever used anything as good as this5
One of the better (closer, less irritation) shaves I've had. Excellent smell. Consistency is best used with a brush, it's a little crumbly in the hands but easy to spread on face regardless. Tub is HUGE, way more product than I expected to get for the $.5
Banters products are always simple but effective. Never disappointed by this brand5
Was hoping for a lot from this product. Got a nice shave but hard to lather.3
This works pretty well, my shave was close but I would like it to have a little more lather.4
This product works welll. Wish it had more lather but did get a smooth shave.4
I tried to use this as a standard shave cream by putting it into my shave bowl, adding water, and whipping it into a lather. However, it doesn't lather. At all. It stays thin and doesn't hold the water like most other shaving creams I've used. Won't buy, ever.2
