Bid adieu to the days of lugging around greasy bottles of lotion. This portable sunscreen stick is perfectly purse-friendly, and it’s ideal for those long days lying on the beach. The solid format lets you reach all those easy-to-forget places like the backs of your ears, backs of your knees, and tops of your feet. It’s made with zinc oxide to give you broad spectrum protection, plus organic ingredients to hydrate and nourish skin.
Just an ok product. It has a very waxy texture so it was not very easy to apply. Concept was good to toss and go...but needs work.3
The texture of this was thicker than I expected, it's not something I would want to put on my face. But it's perfect for quick application for my husband's tattoos! Is also moisturizing. I love it when my husband can benefit from my BirchBox :)3
It is alright. It had a bit of a greasy feel compared to the other brand that I have previously purchased. I may night buy it again, but it was a nice feel to try for a bit.3
Stick felt waxy and heavy on my face, almost like a giant pore clogger. Also, I felt like I burnt right up :( I like the idea of the SPF stick, just not crazy about this one. Scent was off for me, but the size of the sample was great. Going to keep in my hiking sack for sure!3
I like that the size is small enough that you can keep it in your purse. I do not like that I feel that I am rubbing deoderant on my face. The shape just weirds me out!3
(preface-I'm a pharmacy school student who recently had a semester in OTC and learned about sun screens and sun blocks etc)
zinc oxide (which is the active ingredient) is a sun BLOCK, not to be confused with sun screen. Because its a sun block it physically blocks the sun from reaching the skin.
It reminds me of when i was a child at the beach and my mother would put on this white (sometime colored I'm assuming for fun) stuff on my nose..I'm assume what that was is some sort of form of zinc oxide. this is because zinc oxide does not absorb into the skin like sun screens.
So what am I trying to say???
it doesn't absorb like lotion which most sun screens do.
its going to probably be best for someone who is biking a lot or doing physical activity. its not for all over the body--I mean you could do that but I wouldn't want to!
If you are looking for a sun BLOCK:
pro: zinc oxide paste normally has a thick white appearance, this one doesn't have that appearance it was heading toward a "nude" color. Also with it being in the tube it allows for easy application!
Regarding its texture, this product feels more like deodorant than sunscreen. It is difficult to tell if you missed any spots while applying, so I doubt I would take the chance at using this all over my body. I could see it being useful, however, as something to keep in my purse and pop some on whatever area I thought would need it. Definitely prefer lotion or spray sunscreens for allover body use.3
I was very excited about this because it seemed like a great application and the sample size is great to keep in your purse etc. But unfortunately it felt like I was applying chapstick to my face. It was pretty greasy as most suncreens are but I had hoped it would be different. I will use the same but probably not buy the full size.3
Loved the sample size and packaging. This product did not burn my skin, like some sun screens do. It feels a little thick on, but it does do well under make-up.3
I love having a small little sunscreen in my purse that I can put on my nose when I know I'll be out in the sun. This product smells nice and goes on smoothly.3
