Whether it’s makeup, sunscreen, or sunless tanner, you don’t have to jump through hoops to get rid of your ring-around-the-collar. This handy multitasker from The Laundress® eliminates pesky stains in hard-to-reach places and is perfect for hand washing or laundering on the go. Stash a bar in your suitcase and you’ll never have to worry about running out of clean clothes the next time you travel.
Do people still use bar soap? I feel like most people use liquid soap these days. Bar soap gets weird in the shower. It feels sticky even after you use it.2
This is an expensive bar of soap. It works fine and is useful on stains and while traveling but I don't think it is worth the cost.3
I've used this product for years, and it works amazingly well to get even my husband's and three sons' collar stains out of their white dress shirts--without being toxic for me to use. I was surprised at how small this "full-size" product was--about half the size (or equivalent to a guest soap) of the last Laundress stain bar I purchased from a national clothing company.4
I bought this to put in my bag for vacation. The only thing I didn't like about it was that it had more of a manly smell but it worked great for having to wash out you bathing suit after the beach.3
This is the second time I've purchased this item and it's great for hand washing items such as bras and shirts. It does get stains out very well also.5
Part of the reason I love Birchbox is that it has so many great travel-sized items. This little guy is perfect - maybe the size of a pack of gum. I love that it's solid and doesn't take up any precious liquid space in my carry-on. And I can both wash and clean up stains. Being able to wash on a long trip can significantly cut down on the amount of clothes I have to take!5
I love this product because it is gentle on clothes. This bar is what I use whenever I need to hand wash any of my clothes. If you love your selvedge denim and need to give them a gentle but thorough cleaning I would recommend this product.5
I take this with me traveling, it's perfect. I also use it for small delicate items when I hand wash them.5
I tested my sample out with a few of my clothes that had some stains on them.
The bar did an OK job, but for my money's worth, I've had more success with either hydrogen peroxide (depending on the fabric), or a combination of dish soap and baking soda (surprisingly effective, especially with pit stains).
It's not that the bar doesn't work, it's that there's probably stuff in your house that you already have and will do an equal or better job.
Great product for travel. has a great scent and did great on general clothing. Only so so for cleaning up my running clothes, but a win overall.5
