Inspired by our global offices in four of the world’s classic cities (not to mention our love of travel), this bold collection of minis—created exclusively for Birchbox—features summer's hottest hues. Our editors worked closely with Color Club to develop these custom shades, visiting the brand’s Long Island factory to collaborate with the brand’s in-house chemist. You definitely won't find anything like these on-trend, brightly hued polishes anywhere else.
I received the off-white shade of this polish. When I applied it the first coat was very streaky and it took a longtime to dry. The second coat fixed the streaks but it seemed like I had to use a really thick coating of polish in order to remedy the streaking problem. Also, while it looks off-white in the bottle, it looked like I had painted my nails with whiteout when applied. The formula is the real deal breaker though.2
This is the second time I've received this brand of nail polish in my Birch Box - at least this time it didn't change colors in the sun. I received Reign in Spain, which is the one the appears to be coral in the bottle, but is actually neon orange once on your nails. Anyway, the color doesn't bother me, but this nail polish comes out pretty thick and takes forever to dry. Additionally, it chips quite easily. I wouldn't buy it.2
I was super excited to try out this brand of polish and it was the purple color which I love but I put on 2/3 coats and within an hour it was chipping away. Will not be buying this product.2
Seems like a standard good polish... the color just isn't for me.2
I was pretty bummed to get the mod color in my birtchbox. It's vanilla and very uninteresting. I think I would have liked the product more if I received one of the other 3 colors shown.2
Color Club is one of my favorite polish brands; unfortunately, this particular color/bottle (?) was gloopy and difficult to apply.
The other colors I have are wondeful, great consistency...I hope this one was just an icky, thick batch.
I usually love Color Club polishes (I have gold and emerald from past Birchboxes) but this one was a big disappointment. I got Mod In Manhattan, slapped 2 coats onto my nails, and all I could think of was... White Out! The color brought me back to middle school, when I painted my nails with White Out in class. Granted, this product was smoother and shinier ;) Not for me.2
I had tried a ColorClub nail polish before, thanks to a previous Birchbox sample (love that emerald green color) but I was really disappointed with this particular shade, "Mod in Manhattan." White is usually a really difficult color to work with due to the fact that most white nail polishes have to be extra thick to really lay down that color. I found this to be true with ColorClub's white, too - it was really goopy and didn't dry very well. I also have issue with the fact that I got the white color, because I personally like colors and would have preferred any of the other shades to this one. I think that they were sent as country-specific shades, but I really, really would have rather had a different shade. Or at least make the US a different color!2
I got the green shade, and it's just not for me; I'll give it to my 11-year-old niece. I'm not TOTALLY boring, but the shade doesn't suit my skin tone and doesn't look good with most of what I wear.2
I like the coral shade for summer, but the formula did not apply well at all. The finish was uneven and it didn't dry very quickly. There are many better brands of nail polish out there in this price range, and this is not the quality of polish I would expect to see at Birchbox.2
