Whether you’re a bride-to-be or a perennial bridesmaid (we feel your pain, lady), Oscar de la Renta’s Something Blue is an elegant wear-anywhere scent. Featuring lush floral notes, the feminine blend has enough staying power to last from the first dance to the bouquet toss—or just morning coffee to evening nightcap. Fittingly, the chic vintage-looking bottle includes a removable engraved ring.
I love receiving fragrance samples but this smelt like other scents. Very generic and mature.3
Although at first the scent is nice and fresh, I feel like I got tired of the smell very quickly and I think its a little too strong for me.3
I'm picky about fragrance. There was nothing terrible about the scent, it didn't make me want to go out and buy it.1
I absolutely love the smell! It reminds me a lot of the perfumes my mother wears and is very floral. I felt like it started out very strong and still smelled great after it wore off.5
I'm sensitive to fragrance and while I like this one, I would not purchase for myself.3
Very fresh clean perfume, I tend to go with more floral perfumes. Smells good but just not for me.2
I didn't care for this. It was a bit too much of a floral for me. I like fruity scents and this was not it. The package listed off several floral notes as well as a bourbon vanilla and a white musk. After wearing it for a while I could detect a bit of the vanilla on me. It's a nice fragrance, but just not for me. I'd probably recommend it to my mom.3
I love how it smells so fresh and just in time for summer. I can just toss this in my purse and go.4
Smells like a true summer perfume! Wish it wasn't so expensive5
I was a little disappointed in the packaging. I prefer my perfume samples in a spray sampler vs. a vial like this packaging. I agree with both reviewers - I could smell lilac but I could also smell the harsher woody tones. I wouldn't describe it so much as woody as I would more baby powder-y /talc powder - not my favorite.
When I first put it on I smelled the overwhelming baby powder smell, then a twinge of citrus - and then it just kept altering between the harsher baby powder/ dish soap smell and the sweet pleasant lilac. I really wished this product could just hit the lilac floral scent and do away with the harsher overtones.
I don't think perfume can really be age-typed but if you like a stronger musky-ish smell this product would be for you.
