Ever since Angelina Jolie wore a side split dress on the red carpet, smooth, toned legs have been en vogue. Rather than putting in overtime at the gym, treat your legs with this skin-firming lotion from chic French brand Caudalie. The tinted formula imparts a subtle tan and has grown-up shimmer to mask flaws.
Ehhh, not impressed. I am a diehard St Tropez fan and this just didnt compare. I was pretty disappointed to say the least. Would not buy.3
The smell and texture to this lotion was great. The tint was lacking. I felt like it left more color on the palms of my hands then it did on my legs. The shimmer was there - but I did not see a subtle tan at all.3
This did make my legs a bit darker and it didn't look orangey or unnatural. It was very sparkly, but you can only tell close-up.
I used a ton of it before it actually covered everything, but by that point I was so covered that the smell really got to me. There was something a bit unnatural and gross about the scent.
It was nice being more tan for the day and then being able to wash it off. I didn't see residue get on any of my clothes.
It seems like a good product, and my experience with Caudalie is that they are good products for sensitive skin. It seems like it gives a good color, but the way the product was packaged and how little there was, it was hard to tell.3
I had high hopes for this product, and I guess looking back a week later, it worked alright. I can never get past the smell of these products, and this one was no better. Although I liked the fact that it wasn't permanent, and would wash off with water, that is a problem on a summer's evening in Atlanta....if the rain doesn't get you, the sweat will. It made it blotchy. So that, along with the smell, I have to say no, it's not for me. Thank you for trying, Birchbox.3
I wasn't in love. I wasn't in hate. It made my legs darker. The sample package made it awkward to dispense the lotion and put it on without getting everything all sticky and discolored.3
I did not care for the shade or tone of this product. It was really dark and glimmery and not natural looking at all. Also, I didn't care for the way it went on my skin. It wasn't easy to even out and just sort of stuck in some areas more than others. I like how the product didn't smell like normal self tanners, though.3
From the sample size that I was send it looks to be a good self tanner and great color payoff but the sample size was way to small for me to really test out the product3
This product was okay. I liked how it looked when I applied it and the smell was okay. But I feel like it is a product that is not necessary to have especially because for me it's a little pricey.3
The product didn't blend nicely the first time I used it because I have very dry skin. The second time I used a lotion first and it blended much better. I would have given it 4 stars except the fragrance is too strong. I kept smelling it all day like a flowery perfume which give me a headache.3
