Ever since Angelina Jolie wore a side split dress on the red carpet, smooth, toned legs have been en vogue. Rather than putting in overtime at the gym, treat your legs with this skin-firming lotion from chic French brand Caudalie. The tinted formula imparts a subtle tan and has grown-up shimmer to mask flaws.
I had high hopes for this product, but as I have not been in the sun for quite a while I had no natural color to speak of before I applied it. Once I applied it, it just did not look correct. I had spots that were darker than others and I felt the immediate need to shower to get it off my skin.1
I have very, very white legs that don't tan at all by normal means. Even when I burn, they turn lobster red then white again. I think this plays into how this product "sticks" to me. It wasn't a smooth look.
Great idea though, and I'm sure it would work well on other skin types.
I like the idea of a self-tanner that washed off, but it shouldn't come off on clothes and furniture!1
I hate fake tanning. It never, ever looks right. As the other reviews have stated, it gets on everything!1
I did not like the tinted cream, felt it was messy1
I don't use products such as this, but if I did, I would use this one. It smelled really good and made my legs very soft.1
I usually love this brand and enjoy the scent but the smell of this product is awful.1
This is a tinted lotion - basically a bronzer. It smells good, but it dispenses very dark and it takes a minute or so to work in to your legs. Even then, I had streaks and splotches in some areas, so it definitely could have used more moisture overall.1
I'm very ivory skinned and this product was much too dark for me.1
I am not fair skinned, although living in San Francisco for a few years has killed off the light olive coloring I typically have. Anyway, I decided to try my sample out for a friend's wedding recently. The cream comes out in a gel-like form and is EXTREMELY, SCARILY dark. I have never put so much force into rubbing a lotion into my legs before. I barely ever use tanning products (occasional Jergens) so maybe I was just overwhelmed, but I don't think this is for anyone with a lighter-than-Mediterranean complexion. Also, I'm not sure why it's a "leg" cream only because then you have dark legs and light arms...
On the plus side, it did not come off on my dress. Or off at all until I scrubbed it in the shower.
