The nautical trend isn't just for seersucker pants or preppy boat shoes. Make waves (and keep your budget in shipshape) with these mariner-inspired hair ties. They effortlessly keep hair secure without snagging strands or leaving behind ugly creases. Best of all, they look as good on our wrists as they do in our ponytails.
I mean, this hair tie works great for my normal, shoulder-length hair and it's a nice alternative to the rubber band... but this wasn't a game-changer for me. I like how long they last, through many stretches, but it kind of drives me crazy how mine consistently folds in half.3
I heard a lot about about these from different magazines and blogs but I wasn't very impressed
The tie was never tight enough around my hair and I didn't like that it was such a bright color so it stuck out
I used this until it was completely dead. My girls and I seemed to pass it around for months. I purchased a few others later on4
I always have hair ties around my wrist in case I need to put my hair back so it was nice to have one that looked cute when not in my hair.5
I love anything nautical and the fact my hair tie was pink and navy was the icing on the cake. Really cute in your hair or around your wrist.5
These bad boys didn't leave any crease in my hair, which is great to be able to restyle later4
But I'm not a fan of the bright colors/patterns. They would be great for a little girl, but as an adult woman, I would rather have these in neutral colors for day to day wear. They would work at a beach/pool, but seem a little pricey to purchase for those uses.3
These hair ties are really great. They don’t rip out my hair like other hair elastics do. The theme is really cute too.4
I have straight long hair and this hair tie looks like it's for a little girl and it doesn't hold my hair at all! disappointed1
I got the orange with sailboats in my birchbox, while it looks much cuter on my wrist than a normal hair tie, it is not strong enough to hold back my hair and stretches out in a weird way. Good idea, but just not for me.2
