The nautical trend isn't just for seersucker pants or preppy boat shoes. Make waves (and keep your budget in shipshape) with these mariner-inspired hair ties. They effortlessly keep hair secure without snagging strands or leaving behind ugly creases. Best of all, they look as good on our wrists as they do in our ponytails.
I have extremely long hair (past my waist) and this is a common problem of finding products that will work with it. Twist bands are nice in the fact that when I pull them out I don't pull any hair with them. The cons are that my hair is continuously falling out of them. There isn't enough support to hold the weight so I cannot use them while doing any activity and when being still it feels really loose. They are adorable and I love that they double up as bracelet or hair tie. I just wish they were stronger to support longer hair...3
I have long, thick hair and in the summer I almost ALWAYS have a hair tie around my wrist. The Twistband tie is perfect for this! It holds my hair back perfectly, looks good, and won't cut the circulation off around my wrist when I'm not using it. By the way did I mention how cute it is?4
These bands don't pull and break my hair. They are great.5
I love this hair tie. It is so cute with the little sea horses, perfect for summer!5
I already have a small arsenal of these hair-ties, and I LOVE them. This is the most creative of the ones I have so far. I would love to get another one for fun pigtails.5
I have super thick hair and this doesn't keep my hair in place very well.1
While it is so cute, my hair is really thick and I don't think it held as well as a regular hair tie. It kept slipping out. In the future, I'll probably wrap it around a regular hair tie to make sure it doesn't slip down throughout the day.3
I really like twistbands, and use one just about every day. If it's not in my hair then its on my wrist, and these nautical bands are super cute. Unfortunately I got the blue starfish, which is the least nautical in my opinion because it just looks like stars on the band. However it is a good color and I will enjoy adding it to my collection!4
I do find the product to be adorable. The prints are nautical themed and I'm definitely a fan of that. However, I feel the product is quite juvenile for someone that is pushing 30 years old (me). I can definitely use this as a last resort when my 5 year old daughter runs out of hair ties. She loved it.1
I was excited to find this in my Birchbox because I already have three twistbands and use them all the time! They keep my hair up and are cute too. :)5
