This world-renowned two-part skincare system (seriously, it's won more than 100 beauty awards) has a major cult following. Try it once and you'll see why. Not only does it gently remove all traces of dirt, grime, and makeup (yes, even your waterproof, wear-all-day, no-flake mascara and eyeliner), it also sweeps away dulling dead skin cells for a gorg glow. The creamy cleanser contains moisturizing cocoa butter, and two of nature's best astringents: eucalyptus essential oil and rosemary. These plant oils lift dirt off the skin's surface without disrupting the natural barrier function. With the use of the brand's 100 percent cotton muslin cloth (sold separately), skin is gently polished without irritation—perfect for even the most sensitive of complexions.
Seems like a very gentle cleanser. I wasn't sure how cleansing this was, but it seemed effective with the cleansing cloth. I just have a Mia which seems to cleanse more effectively than the cloth. The cleanser had a nice tingling feeling, though, and seemed to be gentle. Also, it smelled nice.3
My skincare routine is very minimal, and I love Liz Earle Cleans & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser because in two fell swoops you clean and exfoliate your skin. I've never felt my skin so smooth after using a cleanser, and the soft mint smell is really refreshing. This is definitely on my to-buy list.5
I tried the cleanser and cloth together. It worked okay but irritated my skin just a little. I use a very gentle cleanser that I love and am planning on sticking with it! Nice to try though.3
I am really pleased with this product. In combination with the cloth, it leaves my skin incredibly soft and provides very gentle exfoliation. My skin texture has drastically improved since I started using this product. I'm not sure how much credit goes to the cloths as opposed to the cleanser itself. I suspect one might be able to incorporate muslin into any cleansing routine and get similar exfoliation results, the the cream seems to provide a lot of moisture and works to remove makeup relatively easily.
I love that you apply the cream to a dry face and use the cloth only after wringing it out. This gives you a thorough cleansing without any mess, bending over the sink with water running down your arms, or needing to tie your hair back.
My only complaint is that getting my mascara off does take a bit of scrubbing with the cloth, which is more irritating on the sensitive skin around my eyes than the makeup remover cloths I was using prior to this product (which are very soft/not meant to exfoliate).
Okay, first thing's first: there is no better way to remove your makeup, especially eye makeup, than this product. But I have breakout prone skin, and this cleanser did not do enough to prevent breakouts. Too bad--it's so easy to use, and the cloths are a neat idea.3
This cleanser is so lovely and luxurious. It was an awesome addition to the box and a great size to have for traveling. I already use a Clarisonic for my exfoliating needs, so a beaded exfoliating cleanser isn't right for my regimin, but it was a nice product to try.4
I had never heard of this face wash before and was happy to try it. It's great because goes onto your face dry and then you wipe it off with the cloth. Less water mess, yay! After washing my face with this, it's always super smooth and very moisturized. It's not drying at all!4
Really enjoy this as a cleanser and a polisher. Can't wait to see how my skin does with it long term. Luckily sample is big enough to get a good idea. Smell is nice and mild. Skin feels refreshed and soft after use. Price is reasonable. Doesn't seem to make my acne prone skin flare up.4
Paired with the muslin cloth I love the way this cleanser made my skin feel. It wasn't harsh on it and always left it feeling soft and clean.5
Gentle cleanser and exfoliating cloth. The cleanser goes on very clean!4
