This world-renowned two-part skincare system (seriously, it's won more than 100 beauty awards) has a major cult following. Try it once and you'll see why. Not only does it gently remove all traces of dirt, grime, and makeup (yes, even your waterproof, wear-all-day, no-flake mascara and eyeliner), it also sweeps away dulling dead skin cells for a gorg glow. The creamy cleanser contains moisturizing cocoa butter, and two of nature's best astringents: eucalyptus essential oil and rosemary. These plant oils lift dirt off the skin's surface without disrupting the natural barrier function. With the use of the brand's 100 percent cotton muslin cloth (sold separately), skin is gently polished without irritation—perfect for even the most sensitive of complexions.
Tucked inside a Tiffany blue box, this cleanser and muslin cloth was the exclusive for October’s Birchbox. Claimed as a UK favorite to purify and exfoliate the skin, this cleanser promises brighter & cleaner skin. This was the first for me in using muslin as a cloth to cleanse my face, and I rather enjoyed it. My skin did feel clean and soft afterwards, but it felt like there was an oily layer over my skin. It felt as if my skin couldn’t breathe, especially noticed after returning to my normal routine of using Benefit’s skincare line. I’m on the fence with this one, as I really enjoyed the cleansing properties, and how soft it made my skin feel, but not the thin oily texture left behind.3
I really liked this cleanser. I left my skin feeling clean, but not dried out. Not sure the cloth made much of a difference though..4
I loved the feel of my face after using this cleanser, smooth and clean. I also liked the muslin cloth, just enough to exfoliate without being too harsh!5
I absolutely love this cleanser! It is so gentle and makes my skin feel incredibly soft and pampered. I also loved the muslim cloth included to polish off the cleanser.5
The cleanser felt nice to use, it seemed moisturizing and exfoliating and the process was fun. I use Proactiv though, and would be concerned that using this regularly wouldn't control my acne bouts. It also seems to take longer than washing your face normally, and I wouldn't have the time on a regular basis.3
My skin feels amazing every time I use this. I love the hot cloth method—so gentle and makes you feel so fresh. However, I'm slightly skeptical it gets all the New York City grim off of me—and definitely doesn't work when I'm wearing tons of makeup. Better for a morning wash, or when your face is cleaner5
I have never used a product before like this so I didn't know what to expect. I coudn't tell how clean my face really was but I am going to try it several times before forming a solid opinion. I do not think I would purchase it though.3
I was just meh about this product. I prefer a cleanser that leaves more of a clean feeling. I also felt like despite the fact that I have dry skin this cleaner left my skin feeling oily.3
Cleansers that have little exfoliating beads irritates my skin. This product exfoliated without hurting it. Love it!5
It was a fun surprise to get this big of a sample in the box this month. Cant wait to see how my skin feels after.4
