British beauty pioneer Liz Earle has a mantra: cleanse, tone, and moisturize, twice a day, every day. And thanks to Liz, those are words we can definitely live by. With its sublime floral scent (think fresh cut roses) and calming botanicals like chamomile, cucumber, and aloe, this alcohol-free toner soothes and hydrates even the most troubled complexions. In lieu of harsh disinfectants, hops extract tones the skin and swipes away bacteria.
This is a great toner if your skin tends to be or feel irritated after exfoliating or certain washes or treatments. It's super calming on the skin. I don't have what I'd call sensitive skin, but I go straight to this anytime I feel something I may have tried feels off.
It's not drying at all, but if your skin isn't completely clean, you will feel this afterwards -it'll sit on top of the grime.
I received this as part of a kit. This is a great product to use after cleansing the skin. I applied this with cotton balls all over my face and décolleté. It made my combination skin feel hydrated and not oily.5
I do not typically use toner, but this product is gentle and moisturizing. Good for dry skin and sensitive skin, although other reviewers are not fans of the floral scent, I do not find the scent very strong.5
this product is a must have! the perfect complement to the cleanser. makes my skin feel so refreshed!!5
The entire Liz Earle line has some of my most favorite skin care products. I have sensitive skin and this toner is soothing and not at all abrasive. I have used it for awhile now (over a year?) and am almost out so it's time to order some more!5
Having used toner since my teenage years, this is a great toner. Gentle, smells great, hydrates instead of harshly drying your skin like salicylic acid toners do. A+4
I have sensitive skin. I bought the hot cloth cleanser system first and then added the tonic and moisturizer a few days later. I broke out right away. Red, painful cystic acne on my otherwise normally blemish free cheeks and chin. I look like a teenager and am researching in hopes of clearing it up as soon as possible. I should have known that using a product with a floral scent was a bad idea, as I learned years ago while I was in the skincare business, that fragrance masks the smells of other not so great ingredients. This was a quick return.1
What a refreshing end to my skin care routine! This is a great product to refresh skin after washing..love the feel and smell!!!5
After purchasing Liz Earle's Hot Cloth Ceansing system and being so happy with it I decided to try the tonic. It is as good as the cleanser, better than other tonics I have tried. It makes my face feel refreshed after cleansing. I am looking forward to trying other Liz Earle products.5
I purchased this tonic because I have never used one and wanted to try one in my beauty routine. I used it after using the Liz Earle polish and cleansing kit and my face is incredibly smooth and soft. I was worried that my face would feel dry, but it actually feels more hydrated then thought it would. I am glad I purchased it.5
