British beauty pioneer Liz Earle has a mantra: cleanse, tone, and moisturize, twice a day, every day. And thanks to Liz, those are words we can definitely live by. With its sublime floral scent (think fresh cut roses) and calming botanicals like chamomile, cucumber, and aloe, this alcohol-free toner soothes and hydrates even the most troubled complexions. In lieu of harsh disinfectants, hops extract tones the skin and swipes away bacteria.
Its nice to find a toner that isn't basically just pure alcohol drying out my skin to remove those last vestiges of makeup and oil from my face. Other alcohol-free toners usually require two full face swipes for everything to come off - but this one is effective w/ only one round.
Also it smells amazing!!! Refreshing clean scent!
I do not typically use toner, but this product is gentle and moisturizing. Good for dry skin and sensitive skin, although other reviewers are not fans of the floral scent, I do not find the scent very strong.5
this product is a must have! the perfect complement to the cleanser. makes my skin feel so refreshed!!5
At first I thought the fragrance was too floral. However, it is very refreshing. I continued to use the product and felt it moisturized and toned my skin. I use it at night and in the morning before my makeup. Absolutely love it!5
I love how this spray makes my skin feel after I've put on my other products. It moisturizes and smells fantastic like what they spray on you at the end of a facial. Love it!5
I'll preface with my skin type: relatively normal, can become dry in the winter, no acne, never oily, and I wear makeup daily. Occasionally I have some redness on my cheeks but that is mostly due to my paleness. I've never had a skin reaction to any skin care product, makeup, laundry detergent, soap, etc. I have healthy enough skin that makeup is not needed (just a pleasure.)
I used this sample after a shower in the morning. I had cleansed in the shower, towel dried my face, and then spritzed. I liked how the spray came out in a mist rather than a watery splash. That is about the only nice thing I will say about this product. If we could post photos in these reviews you'd see why.
At first when I felt the warm, tingling sensation on my skin I had thought it was just the "energizing" portion of the experience. I proceeded to put makeup on and leave for the day. Within 8 hours I had noticed my forehead was incredibly dry and was burning in some spots. There were raised rough patches under my foundation. I removed my makeup and was shocked to see my entire face was covered in tiny to medium sized red blotches. They were literally everywhere but my eyes on bridge of my nose. They were tender to the touch and I could pick at them. They itched a bit too. Three days after using the product and not wearing makeup I still have itchy raised blotches of all sizes and varying redness covering my whole face. The burning sensation is still present on the forehead and nose.
User beware. Glad to hear others have had pleasant experiences.
This tonic is gentle on your face. I was surprised after using it my face didn't burn or turn red. It leaves your face soft and clear. I will purchase this product again.5
Having used toner since my teenage years, this is a great toner. Gentle, smells great, hydrates instead of harshly drying your skin like salicylic acid toners do. A+4
I love this toner, it makes my skin feel so clean and refreshed. I use it on my face and décolletage.5
This is a very soothing product. It smells nice and feels very soothing. The same size is big enough to use many times.5
