All skin types need hydration, but women with normal and combination skin often skip this step to avoid breakouts. (In the words of our favorite pretty woman, “Big mistake. Big. Huge!”) Thanks to this lightweight moisturizer from British beauty pioneer Liz Earle, there’s no need to fear clogged pores any more. Filled with botanical hydrators, this balanced formula leaves skin supple, smooth, and, best of all, completely clear.
Unfortunately, my husband can't STAND the smell of this cream. I liked how it felt and how it hydrated my skin, and it didn't make me break out (awesome!), but it made me feel self-conscious because it was a decidedly herbally kind of smell. Pros: a little goes a long way. This will literally last you 6 months if you use it right. Cons: You will have 6 months of your spouse complaining about how your face smells when you come to bed.4
I'm guilty of skipping this step, because I'm scared of breakouts. I received a sample, and with several applications, my skin feels smoother and more moisturized, but NO breakouts!4
Ok, this cream is amazing. Not too oily, smells good and makes my skin so soft. I really like it and it works great with the toner and the cleanse and polish product offered by Liz Earle.5
i like to experiment with my moisturizers, and i searched all of birchbox for an affordable one, and this was it! the texture is great, it really absorbs in my skin and it never feels oil. i use this day and night and it keeps my skin soft and supple.4
I like the liz earle quality a lot, but after using this with the moisturizer I am still experiencing break outs. It doesn't do any harm since it is so gentle, but I'm not sure if it's exactly right for my skin. I do like that it: smells great, moisturizes all day, non greasy, and is ingredient conscious.4
I really love this moisturizer but I took a star off because the scent is a little strong for me. I love the Liz Earle cleansing cloth and cleanser, especially the scent. This is entirely different than that. I can look past the scent, though, because the moisturizer works so well for my oily acne prone skin.4
I really love this moisturizer but I'm a little bit torn over the fragrance. It does what it's supposed to do(moisturize without pore clogging), however I find the scent a little too medicinal for my liking. Yet, I find myself going back to it again and again when other products disappoint.4
When I initially received this product I was working in Phoenix and I really liked it. I tend to have dry skin that still manages to breakout, dry up and leave discoloration. It was very moisturizing and didn't seem to break me out, then I moved contracts to Charleston SC , early to late summer and this product did me no favors in the humidity. It really felt like it just sat on my face and never absorbed in. I initially wanted to think it was just humidity but did find other products that seemed to absorb better there. I say if you are in dry weather conditions its a go!3
This stuff is amazing! I have found that I only put in on at night or else it makes my face look a bit shiny during the day (I do not wear face makeup so there is nothing to absorb the natural oils).... but my skin loves it! It is the only thicker moisturizer I have found that does not make my face breakout while still leaving it feeling super soft and supple.5
I ordered this moisturizer after I started using the cleanser in this line. I was not disappointed. The first jar I got didn't smell very good and they sent me a replacement which smells much better. It's not my favorite scent but it's okay. The good thing about this stuff is that it's great during warm weather and cold weather. During the summer I only needed to use a small amount but now that it's cold and much drier I need to apply a much thicker layer. Either time of year it's a good product and it always leaves my face looking like it's glowing.5
