This world-renowned two-part skincare system (seriously, it's won more than 100 beauty awards) has a major cult following. Try it once and you'll find out why. The creamy cleanser gently removes all traces of dirt, grime, and makeup (yes, even your waterproof, wear-all-day, no-flake mascara and eyeliner) with the help of two of nature's best astringents, eucalyptus essential oil and rosemary, and leaves it hydrated thanks to moisturizing cocoa butter. The ultrasoft 100 percent cotton muslin cloth included in this kit gently exfoliates, sweeping away dulling dead skin cells and increasing circulation for a healthy-looking glow. Your complexion is left smoothed, soothed and radiant-looking. The kit also comes with a sleek zip-up bag for easy storage and transport.
Where do I start? This stuff is AH-MAZING! I got a sample in my birchbox & I didn't use for a while. Just recently, I had a trip where I needed a facial cleanser & took the sample to try. I love the muslin cloth & the cleanser smells awesome! It left my skin feeling so soft & it took off all my makeup that I had on. Because of this I decided to buy the starter kit to continue using it after I ran out of the sample. The muslin cloth helps a ton with removing eye makeup as well! I'm so sold & definitely looking into getting the toner & moisturizer. Thank you so Birchbox for introducing me to an awesome facial product! ❤️5
I absolutely loved this! It gently, but effectively removed makeup leaving my skin feel clean, but not overly-scrubbed. The cloth added a gentle way to wipe away the dirt and left my skin feeling clean, soft, and refreshed.5
I have fallen in love with the thick cream non sudsing cleansers. As I've gotten older my skin has gotten dryer and was over producing oil and then came bumps. I used Clinique's cream cleanser in the purple tub (I can't remember the name) but I knew about Liz's Cleanse and polish and knew it had a cult-like following. Oh lord do I love this stuff. It has wonderful ingredients, super soothing smell and texture. The texture of my skin has gotten so much smoother, I can tell when I apply my makeup and skin care. Uh! Love it I only wish that Birchbox had more size options, I want a mondo sized one!5
This stuff got me actually washing my face with a cloth. It was my first foray into using a muslin to wash my face. I'm finding that it is a bit too harsh for my skin, and leaves it red after washing. I do intend to use the whole bottle, but I'm not sure I'll repurchase.3
This product seemed great, but it really was nothing special, it smelled good and made my skin soft but I felt no difference in the way my skin looked, Its also bad for acne prone skin and it will clog pores and leave a film on your face. not so great at all. the muslin clothes feel just like any other washcloth, although I do like them when they are dry to dry my face off rather than polish off the cleanser because they are so gentle. So really I dumped the cleanser and kept the clothes.2
I actually adore this cleanser despite all of the bad reviews. People have said that it doesn't completely remove make-up, but let's face it, most abrasive face scrubs won't anyway.. I like to use it in the morning after my shower. The cloths give my face a nice exhilarating tingle afterwards, and my face feels fresh and clean.5
I have happily used the same (unnamed) skin cleanser for many reviews. When I received this sample, I thought it would be a pain to have to use a special cloth, and there were too many directions. I was going to get rid of it, but decided to give it a whirl. WOW! This is a great cleanser! I never thought I would feel this way about another cleanser. It is so easy, and the cloth (provided) is easy and quick to rinse out. It is by far the best, easiest, and most thorough cleanser I have used. My only holdout on giving five stars is that is leaves my face a little bit drier than I am accustomed to, but nothing uncomfortable. I am likely to try more from this brand!
I love this product! I got it as a sample and later bought it.5
I really liked this Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser kit. It left my face feeling very clean and refreshed, much more so than a normal face wash does.4
Since reading about this cleanser from several respected beauty bloggers, I've tried two full bottles and it didn't do much for me. The smell and texture are wonderful and it left my skin soft and smooth, but I feel like it didn't do a great job with makeup removal and that I've gotten better results with Pond's Cold Cream. I also didn't care for the "hot cloth" method and find a regular washcloth to be cleaner and more effective at exfoliating. I'm disappointed because I expected great things based on the legions who love it!3
