Living in the big city, we're no strangers to clogged pores. That's because dirt, debris, and pollution get past even the most diligent cleansing routine and bury themselves deep beneath the skin's surface. Luckily, urban toxins are no match for this hard-working mask. It harnesses the purifying power of natural charcoal, ridding our skin of pesky impurities and giving us a much more radiant complexion. While charcoal pulls stubborn pore-cloggers to the surface, white china clay and lecithin work together to dissolve any remaining impurities.
I bought this mask because of all the positive reviews it received and tried it before I went to bed. Immediately after I rinsed it off, my skin seemed slightly softer, but I noticed no difference in the amount of blackheads or size of my pores. I waited til the next day before dismissing it, but alas, no difference in the morning either.2
I really like clay masks and was hopeful this one would be good as I like a lot of Origins products. Unfortunately, I only tried it once and now the tube is just sitting because it got my towels and shirt all black. I was still trying to get black stuff out of my nose and other crevices an hour later.2
I have pretty sensitive skin, and it's combination, and prone to acne. I bought this mask as a travel size, and I just don't see the difference in my skin. I try to use it once a week, and it doesn't do anything bad to my skin, but I don't notice any benefits?2
I feel like I was one of the unlucky few for whom this product just did not agree.
I started using this mask a few times in one week and in a couple days I started seeing way more new breakouts than before (and my skin had been pretty clear for a while). I took a break and waited for it to clear up and then several weeks later when I saw the beginnings of a new breakout, I gave this product another shot BUT as a spot-treatment tool (so not all over my face) and it did a really good job for treating that one area.
For people with sensitive skin, I would recommend trying it out first before buying the full product. Also, if a full face mask doesn't work, use this for spot treatment.
I bought this full size without sampling it first due to the rave reviews. So much regret. I've tried using it three times and each time it makes me break out SO BADLY which is very rare for me. Right after washing it off, your skin is really soft. 12 hours later, pimples everywhere. I have pretty normal to dry skin so I was surprised by these results.2
This product initally worked well but then my breakouts started. I normally have very small blemishs or blackheads. After I used the Orgins mask, I have 4 cystic pimples.2
Yes, this product does leave your skin feeling soft and clean but as far as removing/diminishing blackheads, couldn't tell a difference. I have been on the hunt for something to remove/loosen blackheads for months now and sadly, the hunt is still on.2
I don't know if I'm using this product wrong or what, but it does nothing for my skin. Maybe I'm not using enough of it, or maybe I'm not leaving it on long enough; but I can't feel it working at all, and there's no noticeable change in my pores afterwards. I've used this product once a week for at least a month, and I'm truly disappointed. There are other Origins products that I love (like VitaZing and Checks & Balances), but this is not one of them. Won't be buying it again.2
Not a fan of this stuff. I tried it three times and each time I broke out. My skin is sensitive to this brand2
I've owned this product before and it didn't do anything for my skin. It just dries it out.2
