Unlike the charcoal you toss in a grill, activated charcoal—also known as activated carbon—has been treated with oxygen to remove dirt, debris, and pollution deep beneath the skin's surface. And that's just the magical ingredient in this hard-working mask. Harnessing the purifying power of natural charcoal, it gets rids of pore-clogging impurities revealing a more radiant complexion. Still not totally convinced? Read more about its good-for-you benefits people have been using for ages.
I'm not sure if I used it right or not, but it didn't really work for me. My skin gets oily and it is very shiny even after I wash my face thoroughly, and I thought this might help in addition to getting rid of my blackheads and clear my pores. It didn't do either, but the mask felt good anyways! I don't especially recommend this, but then again, I might have done it wrong. I don't know~ Give it a try, though :)2
I didnt like this much; I have tried many others that I prefer like Kiehls or Lush love lettuce. I just didnt think this was as effective as many others.2
I tried this mask, and don't have any reason to jump up and down about it. My face felt clean after wearing it, but there was nothing special, and I wouldn't wear it over my current mask.2
I really wanted to like this stuff, but I would use and saw no difference in my skin. In most cases, I found that I would have small breakouts a day or two after using instead. Could just be my skin, but won't be using again.3
I love using this as a mask. It soaks up oil without being overly drying. It is one of the best masks I've tried in a long time.3
Skin feels smooth and soft after use. Maybe blackheads look a little smaller?? Not as noticeable of a change in blackhead status as I wanted... I'll still use it though...3
I have used this twice now and haven't noticed that it made much of a difference. My pores still look the same and it dries my face out quite a bit. It does make my skin feel smoother that's the only thing I've noticed so far.3
I think that this is an alright face mask, however I did not see really much significant improvement in my pores and skin.3
So first I cleansed my face and allowed to dry. Then placed the mask on using a face / foundation flat brush . it went on smooth and is tingly. Only issues removing. I used a steam towel (white) and wiped it off, but face was left with green tint. Also rewashed face but did not help. So when i put on my moisturizer, it turned green. I stopped being green after day 2.3
This was my first time trying an active charcoal mask and I was super excited because I hear it's great for acne prone skin however it wasn't even an improvement over the white clay mask I picked up at the drugstore previously!3
