Living in the big city, we're no strangers to clogged pores. That's because dirt, debris, and pollution get past even the most diligent cleansing routine and bury themselves deep beneath the skin's surface. Luckily, urban toxins are no match for this hard-working mask. It harnesses the purifying power of natural charcoal, ridding our skin of pesky impurities and giving us a much more radiant complexion. While charcoal pulls stubborn pore-cloggers to the surface, white china clay and lecithin work together to dissolve any remaining impurities.
I have only used this once, but love it so far! My skin felt so amazing afterwards. Was a little hesitant to purchase it because I have very sensitive skin, but so far no problems. Hoping it will help with my blackheads.4
Origins is my go•to store for face, moisturizing, eye, mask, night and day products. I bought this mask and I don't notice much of a difference when I use it. I prefer origins Drink It Up mask to this one.3
Good stuff. I'm on the hunt for the best charcoal face treatment. This one's good, but I'm not sure if the price is worth it. If you have the funds go for it but it's not my number one.4
I have bought this product many times over the years and it always helps clear my acne and dry skin. My face feels so soft afterwards.5
Really clears out the blackheads and leaves skin tingly fresh5
I purchased this because I needed a good mask for my combination/oily skin.
It is very thick, and goes on smooth. When you first apply it it feels soothing, but then develops a tingle as it dries that can feel a bit harsh if you have mildly sensitive skin like me. It feels very tights when it dries and will flake and fall off if you move your face muscles too much. It can be a bit stubborn to rinse off if you apply it in a thick layer. I suggest using a warm wet washcloth to help wipe it away. Definitely use a good moisturizer afterwards, and if you typically use an astringent with salicylic acid I would recommend skipping it. This stuff is good but also can be a bit harsh on the skin. The first time I used it I knew it worked because I woke up the next morning with several small whiteheads on my nose and chin from where this mask had pulled gunk up out of my pores. (This doesn't happen now that I have developed a routine with it and use it regularly.)
So yes, I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because, as I said, it's kind of harsh. Those with sensitive skin should proceed with caution.
I wanted to jump on the charcoal mask bandwagon but was hesitant to spend $$ on a 'premium' mask without know if it was for me or not. I decided to try Origins charcoal mask based on the brand and price.
All I can say is WOW! The mask was cool and tingly on my face and felt good as it dried. It left my skin soft and smooth.
The 2 things I noticed, aside from my soft skin, was that the mask left the skin on my cheeks a little tight and dry. I plan to use it weekly on my T-zone and less frequently on my cheeks.
I also found that some of the charcoal was hard to get out of my pores, but I think a little extra care in washing the mask off will take care of that.
This Face Mask Does Its Work, My Face is oily and putting this on every other day it helps my skin clear up and feel good. Cleans my pores and my up pretty good. I definitely recommend this product!!5
This stuff is great in the summertime. It zaps zits and will bring gross zits to a head, but man it is SOOOo drying. I guess that is kind of the point though, with charcoal. Personally, I can only do this once a week, but it does work well for breakouts.4
I heard so many rave reviews about this, but unfortunately I am one of those people with skin that doesn't work well with charcoal. Just found my skin to be very very dry after. The pro though is that it didn't have any bad smells, like other charcoal masks.3
