Spornette knows that a good hairbrush lasts a lifetime, which is why their Luxury Cushion Brush has been our tried-and-true styling tool ever since it landed onto our desks. Thanks to the soft oval cushion, boar and tourmaline-infused nylon bristles, and sleek satin handle, this essential tool rivals any of today's higher end brushes (we're looking at you, Mr. Pearson) for a fraction of the cost.
this is not for fine fragile hair, even with a light handed approach and proper brushing technique (starting at the bottom and detangling in increments) this made my hair so much more damaged..not recommended.1
cheap materials and I can not believe you compare this to a Mason Pearson. Have you ever used one? Don't waste your money on this.1
I was very excited to get this brush since there were so many wonderful reviews, but unfortunately I was not excited anymore after I used it. It instantly added an enormous amount of static to my hair causing it to stand on end.2
I was hoping for more with this brush. I find that it is a bit aggressive on my scalp. It also leaves my hair poofy and a bit frizzy.2
The brush felt cheap and I didn't feel like it was thoroughly brushing my hair. The rubber smell was very unappealing too.2
I have thick fine hair, and this brush does not even begin to reach my scalp! I maybe should have known, since it has fine bristles. I need a brush with sturdy, wide-spaced bristles in order to get to my roots.2
I looked for a long before I ordered this brush. Nothing special about it. And cost way too much for what it is. The box it came in was very mangled. I kept it because I don't drive and hadn't a way to return. Gave up. I'm trying to find someone to give it to.2
I was surprised at the firmness and point of each bristle. I had in mind an old fashioned hair brush and the Spornette, while extremely well made, is not like the hair brush my Grandma had, even though it looks virtually the same. I would not consider myself to be tender-scalped at all.3
This brush is nice and helps to smooth out my naturally wavy hair as I blow dry it, however when I'm done it leaves my hair with a lot of static! I'm new to boar and tourmaline-infused nylon bristles so maybe that's common and will fade over time? I hope so because I've used this brush a couple times and I still end up with static.3
Can tend to make fine hair a little frizzy if used when blow drying so I use a paddle brush to blow dry and this brush to finish style. Adds shine.3
