Spornette knows that a good hairbrush lasts a lifetime, which is why their Luxury Cushion Brush has been our tried-and-true styling tool ever since it landed onto our desks. Thanks to the soft oval cushion, boar and tourmaline-infused nylon bristles, and sleek satin handle, this essential tool rivals any of today's higher end brushes (we're looking at you, Mr. Pearson) for a fraction of the cost.
It does feel kind of cheap and some of the bristles are bent or have fallen out but other than that it feels great on my hair and I have high hopes for it!4
I got this brush in hopes it would help my staticky winter hair and it's doing the trick. Feels good on the scalp too.5
this brush gets through small tangles and leaves my hair shiny. Super easy to clean. I just soak
In warm water w a bit of baby soap or dish soap. Cleans up and looks like new. I've been using for 6 months and am still loving it!
This brush is nice and helps to smooth out my naturally wavy hair as I blow dry it, however when I'm done it leaves my hair with a lot of static! I'm new to boar and tourmaline-infused nylon bristles so maybe that's common and will fade over time? I hope so because I've used this brush a couple times and I still end up with static.3
I didn't know that there was a difference in brushes. However, this one changed my mind! If you're even on the fence about this, just buy it. You won't go wrong!! The cushion creates such a nice little massaging action for your head! It's great to use right out of the shower, untangles your hair without pulling too much. Plus, when using it on dry hair it makes it extra shiny! Love this thing!!5
I generally have thick, straight hair that is shiny and does not tangle but can get static if brushed a lot. As I'm getting older, my hair texture is changing and I have been noticing a lot of tangles. My Aveda Paddle Brush was not cutting it anymore so I tried this one because it's supposed to be a dupe for a really high-end brush. By some magic, this brush comfortably and pain-freely detangled those knots and did not leave my hair in a static mess! I really don't have any complaints. I have only been using it for a few days so we'll see how it holds up. So far, so good!5
I have a Mason Pearson brush. I love it. I have had it for many years and it is wonderful. It was also an anniversary gift as I would be hesitant to spend as much as I did on it. Now the reason I sing the praises of the MP brush are that it seemed to be the only brush to get the tangles and knots out of my daughter's hair without her screaming to high heaven. I really do not want her running about with my brush, as she seems to hide it from me. I have also tried a number of brushes trying to find some thing that is not going to be expensive to replace if she loses it or breaks it or if someone else runs off with it at swim practice.
THIS IS THE BRUSH!!!!
It was a Christmas gift and as far as I am concerned it is the best thing she received this year! It takes care of her Captain Caveman hair in the morning when she wakes. It smooths it with out pulling and screaming. It is really wonderful. The only thing I did not care for is the "silicone, rubber" on the brush back and handle. I was expecting the plastic like the MP brush. This coating or what have you has a smell to it. It has since gone away, but was rather strong when the item was unwrapped. This is the ONLY reason the brush was given 4 stars. The smell made the brush seem cheap. So if you are gifting it, take it out for a day or so and let the brush air out.
This is a fantastic brush. I really wish I had known about it before I bought all the other brushes we have tried over the past year looking for the perfect brush. I love the price. If anything were to happen I would not even think twice about replacing it with the same brush. I love that they offer it in a smaller size, which I plan to purchase so my daughter can keep it in her backpack.
I was very excited to get this brush since there were so many wonderful reviews, but unfortunately I was not excited anymore after I used it. It instantly added an enormous amount of static to my hair causing it to stand on end.2
I have alopecia and wear a natural hair wig everyday. This brush has been amazing at de tangling bUt not pulling out the hair. I'm so happy I didn't have to splurge on the mason Pearson!5
This brush feels amazing on my scalp (a little odd, I know). It easily glides through my dry hair and makes brushing a breeze! In my opinion, my hair even looks better thanks to this brush!5
