Spornette knows that a good hairbrush lasts a lifetime, which is why their Luxury Cushion Brush has been our tried-and-true styling tool ever since it landed onto our desks. Thanks to the soft oval cushion, boar and tourmaline-infused nylon bristles, and sleek satin handle, this essential tool rivals any of today's higher end brushes (we're looking at you, Mr. Pearson) for a fraction of the cost.
My hair is straight and baby fine with medium thickness and length. I purchased a Spornette brush like this when I was 14. After 36 years, it broke. I wept. Was ecstatic to find another on BB. And whaddaya know, now it's even better. I can go on living.5
I love this brush! I was a little skeptical about the really thin bristles, but this brush is perfect for detangling & smoothing. Not so much for wet hair though!4
This Spornette brush is great for gently working out tangles. I have super thick hair, so it's a little difficult to reach through to the scalp. I use it mostly to detangle and smooth.4
I was hoping for more with this brush. I find that it is a bit aggressive on my scalp. It also leaves my hair poofy and a bit frizzy.2
The brush felt cheap and I didn't feel like it was thoroughly brushing my hair. The rubber smell was very unappealing too.2
BEST BRUSH EVER! I WILL NEVER USE ANOTHER BRUSH AGAIN. IT MAKES MY HAIR FEEL SO SOFT AND HEALTHY!!! CANT WAIT TO BUY ANOTHER BRUSH3
I have thick fine hair, and this brush does not even begin to reach my scalp! I maybe should have known, since it has fine bristles. I need a brush with sturdy, wide-spaced bristles in order to get to my roots.2
I was surprised at the firmness and point of each bristle. I had in mind an old fashioned hair brush and the Spornette, while extremely well made, is not like the hair brush my Grandma had, even though it looks virtually the same. I would not consider myself to be tender-scalped at all.3
I absolutely love this brush. I usually use the wet brush this is so nice feeling I love love love it!!!5
I've been looking at the Pearson brushes for a while, but have a really hard time paying that much for a brush. Can it really be worth it? I got this one to try it out and I'm glad I did. It's great. I will say that the first few days I used it, I felt like my hair was a little greasy and I do have dry hair. But, I know that it's the natural oils coming out. I have fine hair, but I have a lot of it and it goes through the hair easily. My 10 year tried it and I have lost my brush now. She took it on a six week trip for the summer and her hair is long and down to her booty. Guess I have to buy another now!5
