Anyone with a smart phone can track down a Michelin-star restaurant in Paris or point you in the direction of the Forbidden City. But this slim, deeply researched line of guidebooks—don’t expect maps, illustrations, or any of the otherwise Google-able info you’d find stuffed in fatter versions—specializes in the type of locales known only to the natives. It’s the kind of unabashedly opinionated editorial advice that will send you happily flying solo. And it’s executed with so much brevity and class that the guides can fit comfortably into a pocket or your carry-on.
This is a cool product to explore the city in which you are traveling. Excellent way to plan a vacation kill time on a business trip.3
I got one as a sample and as for the information. You probably end up spending 300 a day for the places it recommends.2
I don't like carrying clutter. Especially when traveling. Give me the app and it will always be with me on my phone.4
I got the chicago luxe book, never been to chicago but it was a pretty cool little book with inside reviews of a lot of places. I saw they have one for los angeles, thinking about getting it for when i return home. I shared the book with my friends and it made them want to go to chicago just to explore haha.4
the area in which i got didnt apply to me. couldve been useful for a trip i guess. but dont plan on going there (New York)2
I got this travel bag right before going to London for work and it was perfect. Used the city guide and it had some great info for me to use while there.4
In today's world, I never go anywhere without my phone and I can get similar guides in app form from other providers.2
I recieved the New York city guide. It was fairly well written. I found the font to be a bit small but seemed to have some good information included. A nice size for travel.4
I'll take it next time I travel to one of the cities listed and see how it goes. Until then, it gets a 2 star rating for usefulness.2
Pretty big list broken down into places to eat, shop, and visit.
Guide is durable, made to last, kind of like those coated maps available at zoo and attraction parks.
I have no complaints of the product, yet I have no compliments either.
Pricing appears to be competitive with other guides.
