It doesn’t matter if you buy them in bulk or on sale, razor blades still set you back a pretty penny. The fine folks at HYD For Men have found a solution: science. This Razor Shield combines natural oils with some impressive scientific abracadabra to keep your blades from corroding. Longer-lasting razors mean more smooth shaves, less environmental waste, and more money in your pocket.
I can't really tell if this improves the life of my razor blades enough to justify its purchase. I still use one blade per week and I haven't noticed my shave quality change at all.2
The concept of this product is great, but considering I use a single blade safety razor, I don't think it works quite as well, nor is it as necessary. Mach 3 and other multi-blade heads are quite expensive, while my single-blade razors are pretty cheap. I do feel like my shave is a bit smoother now that i've used this though.3
This product is filling a void that is unnecessary. I don't like the idea of adding an oil of unknown ingredients to my razor then using it on my face. I did try it though and I didn't notice much of a difference. My razor wore on as usual. Also, it smells like WD-40.1
I replace my razors every week, so this won't make much of a difference for me. Even if the HYD made the razors last twice as long, I would lose money purchasing this product.3
Seems like a cool idea, but I vary rarely have a close shave, so I use a electric trimmer most of the time. This doesn't seem like a product I would get much use out of on a regular basis.3
I was excited to try this product, because who wouldn't love to get more use out of their razor before having to change the blade? Unfortunately I didn't see a noticeable difference. I'll continue to use the rest of my sample, but I won't be purchasing unless I suddenly see a big difference. Perhaps a better product for people who actually use a straight razor?2
every now and then a product comes along so useless that you just have to think: How did this ever make it to market? FAIL1
I really do not know if this product works or not. I have not noticed any difference in my blades.1
Great idea, not sure the product is effective, also hard to completely cover the blaze as the liquid seeps out of the bottle rather than smoothly spraying.3
I go through razor blades at least once a week. Until now, this product is adding an extra week per blade - for me, that's huge.5
