When your dad taught you how to shave with that razor he’d removed the blades from, he was hoping that you’d grow up to use a shaving cream like this. This classic softens and lifts beard hairs, while simultaneously soothing and moisturizing your skin. Add some Sandalwood aromatherapy to the mix, and you’ve got something that is pops-approved.
Since my guy discovered Art of Shaving about a year ago, he flatly refuses to shave with anything else. Which is good for both of us, because otherwise he has extremely dry skin, flakes, and painful red ingrowns, and since he's started using Art of Shaving religiously he looks SO much better and more comfortable. He moisturizes afterwards with Lucky Tiger and looks great. Plus the packaging looks classy and masculine next to the sink. And I can't say I don't steal it for my legs for special occasions, though I really can't justify the price right now for shaving legs with this daily!
Oh, also for any guys rocking the Captain Picard and the ladies who love them, mine uses this on his whole scalp (what's left on it) as well as his beard. Great for that purpose too.
I have been using the Art of Shaving-system for over a year now. Their products are always high quality and work great. I can't justify giving 5 stars because I haven't tried the other products out there that are the same tier, but this was a very solid start. The cream produces a rich lather and sandalwood smells great.4
My husband has the most sensitive skin, We stick to what we know. However we tried a sample and this worked well for him. Other than being sensitive his skin is normal/ reg combination skin. This has worked well for him!5
The art of shaving cream is fantastic! It foams easily with very little work compared to regular shave soap. It helps with a smooth close shave. It feels healthy and light on your face compared to the heavy gels in the cans. With sensitive skin like mine, since using my face is cleaner and healthier then ever before. Provides great protection against skin irritation. After you shave with this you will never want to go back to what you were using. As far as the sandalwood scent it's not overpowering. And stimulates your nose and all around makes you feel classy. Overall this is a great product and recommend and encourage everyone to try it.5
my husband has a very coarse beard and sensitive skin... He has had no issues with ingrown hairs since using this. Took him 20 years to finally find a product that works for him!5
I have been using this shaving cream for over a year and a half. One tub lasts about a year if you shave 2-3 times a week. Produces a great lather for a super smooth shave.5
I care about the products I use when I shave. This is a middle of the road product. There are far better products that Birchbox sells for the same price.2
I see a lot of the reviews stating that this product is not good for sensitive skin. I have very sensitive skin and have all but eliminated skin irritations using this product. I personally use the Lavender scent and along with smelling great, it leaves my skin feeling smoother and allows the closest shave I have ever had with no irritation (I also shave with AND against the grain of the hair). I would recommend going with a starter kit before buying a full size set, but according to The Art of Shaving, all scents but Ocean Kelp are made for sensitive skin.5
Even thought it's unscented, it does have a light fragrance. I have been using this product for years and really love it. It works best with a badger brush (I've found). Price is a little much, especially when you compare it with other tubes and canisters that are half the price and work just as well.4
I bought this for my husband and he likes it a lot. It goes on smooth and although pricey totally worth it.4
