Playing around with color can be taxing—just think of Jackson Pollock hurling paint at a canvas. Similarly, reapplying lipstick all day can dry out your pout. This Hydrating Lipstick from Jouer lets you paint your lips with all manner of pretty shades, but goes the extra mile of conditioning and hydrating at the same time.
I dont know if it was just the color or the lipstick itself, but not impressed at all. First off, it is peach, and i look better in plums or browns. It separated on my lips so you could see peach lipstick and my pink lips.1
Received a full-sized tube of "Meredith" in the lovely Day limited Edition box (must-have!). I was pleasantly surprised at how versatile and wearable the shade is. It stayed true to color and lasted about as long as expected. I doubt I will re-buy as I have many other choices for great lipsticks under $24, but will enthusiastically recommend this for those willing to pay that much (hence the 4, not 5-star rating).4
I got this lipstick in the lovely day box. It goes on smooth and feels great. I have dark brown hair, very tan skin tone, darker tone lips too, and green eyes...light lipstick looks like chapstick on me. I didnt get to pick my color. However this color online looks so much darker and maybe a shade lighter than my light lispstick (used mainly for day); and i tend especially at night to use darker shades with deep colors with a brown tone to them. WHich again I am torn how to rate this. Yes they guessed at my color. The lipstick did feel decent quailty. However the color unless my computer was off but everything else has been on including clothes recently purchased on other sites...it doesnt look the same. Mixed reviews on the colors available but again the color online is so different I would have to see the others3
I really liked the color...not too much, very natural. However, I'm not much of a lipstick wearer just because I find most lipstick to be too dry, and this one seemed to be just that. I really like all the natural ingredients packed into this lipstick, but I guess I'll just stick with my tinted balms for hydration.3
You can tell this is an expensive lipstick. It doesn't smell and stays on well. The texture is light and it's moisterizing. The color is light but pretty. I'm glad it's not bright.3
I've been very pleased with jouer products. I really like this color - it's a lovely pink. The lipstick is superb. So moisturizing.5
Meredith is such a pretty nude pink color and it's perfect for this time of the year!
The wear time for this lipstick is amazing - it stayed put for the majority of my eight hour work day, with minimal touch-ups. It's super moisturizing, too (trust me, I have super dry lips that tends to eat balms/gloss) :)
I'm a lip balm/gloss kinda girl, but this lipstick is fantastic. It's very hydrating and has staying power. I tried the "Meg" color, which is a pinkish/nude. For reference, I'm a fair skinned redhead. The color was very light and very natural looking. Great for work.5
I've been looking for a nude shade to add to my collection, but my lips tend to be on the pink side, so the tanner nudes don't look as good on me. After reading the reviews and some guides on choosing nude shades, I decided to try the pinker Meredith. Perfect choice! It goes on in a lovely, soft pink shade that pairs perfectly with my lips and my tan skin. It also lasted about 6 hours before I had to reapply (including a meal!). It also is very moisturizing, though I always wear lip balm underneath, and did not dry out my lips.
Fair warning though: if you're looking for a more traditional nude shade, I recommend that you pick another color. I believe the Monique is the "more nude" equivalent shade.
I love Jouer products, but this one missed the mark. I found the lipstick dries out and becomes chalky. I'm disappointed that it is from Jouer.1
