Unlike our daily gelato indulgence, this sweet stuff is actually good for you. Infused with brown sugar and four exotic plant oils, this softening body scrub gets rid of dirt and oil while gently exfoliating away rough surface skin. You’ll immediately notice how refreshed your skin feels, not to mention how good the sweet rose- and cedar-infused scent smells.
I bought this scrub because I am so in love with the Caudalie Divine Oil. It really wasn't what I expected. The granules are very small and the scrub is thick. You have to use a lot of it because if you mix it with water, it turns milky white becaues of the oils and still doesn't spread on the skin well. Also, somehow the scent is different in the scrub than the oil. The fragrance of the scrub is very overpowering. The first time, I used it on my entire body and it was just too much. It bordered on gross.
I tried again and used the scrub on just my legs before shaving. That worked out really well. The shave was very smooth and my legs felt and looked amazing afterwards. And using it on just my legs, the smell was fine.
I bought this because I was looking for a little luxury and I really liked the way the divine oil smelled. The scrub does not smell the exact same as the divine oil in the tub, but once you use it and are drying off I notice it smells more like the divine oil. The scrub its self is like if you could lather a body butter that has physical exfoliate in it up. I found the scrub to be quite drying, leaving me with that too clean and tight feeling regular bar soap leaves. The worst part for me is that my container ended up molding on me before I could finish it (most likely since it lacks traditional preservatives). I was using it sparingly since it was expensive, and the last time I went to use it there was fuzz on the sides and on the lid so I just threw it away. I would not repurchase this or recommend it to anyone. There are much better lower cost alternatives.2
Let me start by saying I don't like the smell of the divine oil, which I got of sample of with this purchase. Both the scrub and the oil smell the same to me--bad. The scrub is strange--you sort of have to pull a chunk of it off and mix it with water. I use it on my legs before shaving but try to keep it away from parts closer to my nose because the smell lingers. It works okay, but no better than cheap drugstore scrubs that don't have a bad smell.2
