We know you love diving into samples as much as we do, and the Mystery Sample Pack gives you the chance to try some of our favorite products. Receive two samples for free by spending $35+ on any full-size products from the shop. It includes one deluxe sample and one standard sample that we’re especially excited about right this minute, and here’s the really fun part: Their identities will remain secret until you receive your order. Alternatively, you can purchase this mysterious sample duo on its own for $10.
I added this sample pack to my first birchbox order thinking that at least one of the samples would be deluxe, but I only received two packettes. Not deluxe at all! The samples with every sephora order are much better compared to this because you get three packets free with every order (no order minimum!) plus you get to choose the three samples. This certainly doesn't motivate me to order from birchbox again unless I'm just trying to spend points or really want an exclusive product enough to pony up... Otherwise I'll stick to Sephora and Ulta - way better bonus sample options and the little extras are probably my favorite part of ordering!1
Samples were well...samples. I like getting more, I just feel like these are the left over samples and not anything that fit my profile.4
I have received a mystery sample pack twice now, and really loved what was sent both times. The first was eye shadow and a bottle of No. 4 Shampoo (wish I could have tried it with the conditioner!), and the second time was a shampoo/conditioner set of the R & Co. Bel Air and Supergoop hand cream. I loved trying these samples and enjoyed receiving the extra goodies!5
Can't complain about free samples :) I got another sample of the Catherine Malandrino Eau de Parfum, which I love, so I'm happy to have more. The other sample was Paula's Choice Resist Intensive Wrinkle Repair, which is a nice sample, but I'm just not using anti-aging products yet.4
Got this as an extra for spending more than $35 but I would've never paid $10 for a perfume sample and a single makeup wipe!!! No way they were worth $10 I wonder if you actually pay for them if you get better samples? The perfume was a Harvey Prince one so it smelled great but small. Still love my BB!!3
I tried to BB cream I got and it was way too light for my skin and too thick. I had to scrub my face twice just to get it off! The mini mascara was great though! Perfect for on the go!2
Small for a ten dollar package, but good for testing out products. I received the benefit posie balm which ironically I received afterwards as a gift. If you are going to get it don't pay $10.4
I was sent a chapstick brand duo chap stick. It retails for 2.48 at my local walmart. And then I got a tiny foil conditioner. I was upset. I spent 35.oo times 2. And oder ed 2 of these thinking I would get a wow factor item. WRONG. so I contacted BB and I was sent 2 nicer samples but I had just purchased the full size yes their real lashes mascara and (I always lived and used this mascara) I actually got that and Dr. Jarts black headeraser too which both came in my nov. Box. Just spend that $10.00 on something better be cause being suprised doesn't always mean in a good way!!1
Most of the stuff I received in my sample pack was samples I've already received. I ended up giving away most of the samples.3
I got this sample pack for free, otherwise I would be giving this a 2 or 3 star rating. I received the SeaRx eye cream, which I really like and would have definitely payed for, but the other item I received was a fragrance. I am not interested in fragrances really and it was a bit of a disappointment. Oh well, nothing lost! And the SeaRx cream is lovely.4
