We know you love diving into samples as much as we do, and the Mystery Sample Pack gives you the chance to try some of our favorite products. Receive two samples for free by spending $35+ on any full-size products from the shop. It includes one deluxe sample and one standard sample that we’re especially excited about right this minute, and here’s the really fun part: Their identities will remain secret until you receive your order. Alternatively, you can purchase this mysterious sample duo on its own for $10.
I'm a guy, so the stuff that was in this wasn't even useful for me. I gave it to my girlfriend, but it was still just small, somewhat useless samples, that are not worth $10.
That being said, it's nice that these samples are essentially free so I probably shouldn't complain.
I still can't help but feel a little cheated that they were valued at $10 though.
The samples I got in this pack were lackluster and basic everyday items you either have and know your favorites or don't want at all.3
The strange sparkly silver eyeliner from Cynthia Crowley in this mystery kit was offset completely with the Stila lipstick in Beso! Yay! Love Stila!4
My sample pack was a repeat of many items I have received in my previous boxes and was not worth the investment. I will say I was a fan of the perfume sampling and came back to purchase a full size.3
This is a fun little add on and I received two great samples. The $10 price tag seems like a little much when a whole box from BirchBox is only $10. I have really enjoyed both of my samples though! One piece was Mally Liquid Face Defender Blush and the color is Passionfruit. This seems like a full size with .75 fl. oz., I really liked the color on me, and I feel like this will last me a long time! I also received a Cynthia Rowley very tiny sample 2.25g or .07 oz of creamy lip stain. I like this lip stain because like the name on it indicates, it is creamy and not dry like most stains. The color is called sugar and I would describe it as a light mauve or pale pink. It matches very nicely with the blush sample. I normally wear a fuchsia or hot pink so this is a little tame but also looks very nice and natural.5
The genius at Birchbox read my mind this time! I received matte lipstick from the Model Co. in Kitty and a mini Lord and Berry black sparkle eyeliner that I adore! I don't think I could have picked better options myself!5
Free is always cool. but I received 2 products that I had just gotten the month before. I ended up giving them to my Niece, and she loves the mascara and body butter. so it was a win, win.3
I recieved a lip and cheeky stick which is way to pink for my lips but works great as a blush and a blue eyeliner. I wouldnt have paid 10 bucks for this but i recieved it for free so im ok with free.5
After adding this to my order, I was a little disheartened by many of the reviews of people saying their sample items weren't the best, but I figured free is free! However, upon receiving my order, I was very pleased to find an eye shadow sampler and lip gloss. Both are great!5
I received a pretty good size mascara and blush... I was very happy with the mascara. The blush is not my shade so I'm not sure what I'll do with it. Not worth paying $10 but a good freebie.4
