I received this for free, & I love it!! Mine came with a purple Lipstick (score) & Juice beauty!! So Happy!!5
Received a product I had just received in my normal box, & a VERY purple lip product I will never use. Waste of a bonus in my opinion, wish I would have received different products...1
Definitely only go for this offer if you're already at $35. It's not worth an extra $10. I received a Jouer tint in petal and a mini BeeKind lotion. I loved the lotion, which is the perfect size for on the go, and the fact that part of their proceeds go to support honey bee population efforts. It's got a really great consistency, not at all greasy or oily. It's almost like a gel and it really rapidly absorbs into your skin. The citrus scent is a bit strong, almost cintronella-y at first, but it fades after a couples minutes into a pleasant soft lemon scent. The minuscule Jouer tint is not great. The packaging, a little magnetic box is adorable but the product itself is bad. It's meant to function either as a lip or cheek tint and as I've already got super-rosey cheeks I test it as a lip color. The consistency seems nice in the box, very creamy. As soon as you put it on though it's incredibly dry and *drying*, almost chalky. The while the color looks great in the box it looks far too pale, almost nude on the lips. My lips are very hydrated but it's also super drying it leaves cracks in the color highlighting lines I never even knew I had in my lips. I tried to top it off with some gloss but even that couldn't rectify the situation. Had I purchased this sample pack I'd be super unhappy with the value. At least I found a nice new lotion.2
So I have to say, I read alot of mixed reviews in the comments, and I have to agree with a couple of them. The samples I got were alright, they weren't thrilling, but I didn't feel the need to just discard them either. The conditioner I got for my hair had a really lovely smell to it, and left my hair very soft and smelling great. However the little square of color I got, I was a bit perplexed by until I looked it up. I wasn't sure what it was, because it wasn't really labeled and it wasn't a brand I knew. Come to find out after some internet research, it was a "tint" that could be used on lips or cheeks.4
I wouldn't pay for this and I'm glad I didn't! Face scrub that was included was the same in my last months box, the lip stick was broken upon arrival. It seemed like a nice product, just wasn't ever able to use it.2
With how amazing Birchbox is every month I thought that when I bought a few new items that this add on sample pack would be like the samples I get every month...no! Not even close! I received a foil pack of conditioner and something else equally disappointing that I cannot remember. Please step up your game Birchbox!3
I got a deluxe benefit roller lash mascara and a body butter that smells really good. Very nice free gift. Worth $10 even though it was free!4
Nice mix of products I wouldn't normally try but the sizes were quite small. I am excited to give them all a try.4
It was not bad for "free" ... I would definitely not pay $10 for the two small items I received3
Both mascaras that came in this set work very nicely. I also really like the macadamia oil for hair. I've used it before and found that it really helps tame my naturally curly hair.5
