We know you love diving into samples as much as we do, and the Mystery Sample Pack gives you the chance to try some of our favorite products. Receive two samples for free by spending $35+ on any full-size products from the shop. It includes one deluxe sample and one standard sample that we’re especially excited about right this minute, and here’s the really fun part: Their identities will remain secret until you receive your order. Alternatively, you can purchase this mysterious sample duo on its own for $10.
I received a bronzing primer and a purple eye shadow. I love the primer and it is a great sample size. The eye shadow is also a great size, although I don't think I will ever use the bright purple color!3
I received two foil packets of Oscar Blandi salon glaze and there was not nearly enough product for my long thick hair. I also received Yu-Be skin cream and it is going right in the garbage! It smells awful! Like vapo rub. I would have been very disappointed had I paid for this!1
Obviously it varies by person, but, based off of what I got...it is definitely not worth $10, or even adding something small to your purchase to push you over the $35 mark.
One of my samples was torn open when I got it, and the other I probably wouldn't use (although it was good quality when I swatched it). If you're getting it for free because you're over the $35 mark, it doesn't hurt to try it out. But like I said...it's not worth it to pay for it since it's going to be a total random pick of what you get.
I got a foil packet of origins sunscreen, and two samples from Make (a single eyeshadow and a mini primer). Before that I got a bottle of makeup remover and a sumitra liner in purple.3
I loved the eyeliner that came with my free sample. Unfortunately, the face scrub that came with it leaked little black grains all over my bathroom when I opened the sample box.3
I received Cynthia Rowley lip gloss/stain in Poppy. It is a beautiful red with a bit of an orangey tone. It stains fairly well when you wipe it off. Sample size was ample for maybe 6-7 wears. The shampoo sample was from Bee Kind and is nothing to write home about. I would have preferred if the sample was in a bottle instead of a foil pack as it makes it difficult to save for multiple uses.4
Hit or miss on the mystery samples -- sometimes I get some awesome new products, sometimes I get samples I've already gotten (even ones I don't tend to like) however, I never miss an opportunity to get it when I'm spending over $35. So fun!5
I got this as a free add on to purchase. I received a lip tint that was okay. I also got a sample of the protect and condition conditioner. That is what I ordered in full size so I didn't mind at all. I probably would not purchase for $10, but the surprise was nice5
I got the sample pack free with my purchase. I wouldn't spend $10 on it but it was a fun little surprise. I received the tata Harper face mask and a supergoop sample. For my second mystery back I received a temptu highlighter and a beauty blender. I would definitely do this again5
These are sometimes hit or miss... This time I got some awesome lotion and a hair product that is totally for NOT my hair type. I'll find that sample a new home but the lotion is TOTALLY going in my cart.4
