Alternatively, you can purchase this mysterious sample duo on its own for $10.
This fun little mystery pack came with one of my orders on birch box.
My box had lip products which left me with a new product to buy.
Great size sample and the perfect color to complement my skin tone.
I got some great sample this time. The yoube lotion which I ordered right away. It is such a good remedy for dry skin. I really like the camphor in the lotion. It is soothing but the smell does not linger.5
I got tea, perfume, and face cream. The perfume is not my favorite but the tea was good and the face cream feels nice. Who doesn't love free stuff?5
When I first opened the pack, I was disappointed about the size of the samples. I got "Resist Intensive Wrinkle-Repair Retinol Serum" and "The Aloe Source: Vitamin C Antioxidant cream." I'm only 27 years old and have no wrinkles. I decided to try the wrinkle cream anyway. After trying both, the serum and cream, I realized the samples go along way and will last several applications. I REALLY liked the Vitamin C cream. It smells lightly of oranges and I love it! My mom (also a Birchbox subscriber) loved the serum! I know these packs can be hit and miss, but hey, they can be free! I am extremely happy with this pack!4
Was not impressed with the tiny samples that were similar products to what I received in my monthly box. I feel for the same price as the actual box the samples should be similar in size at very least and definitely shouldn't be basically the same products.2
I'm glad I didn't pay, and got with my $35 purchase. I would not have been pleased had I paid. The Yogini perfume is fab, the face cream ok. Tea is really never welcome, though I imagine there are other customers who love it since BB provides it as samples. At least I hope! The tea is yummy, it's okay, but just not fun for me. I like BB because I can open and say, ooh, what's this? lemme try! tea, not at all.3
It's two good products, and I do appreciate that. But with the monthly subscription, they include information about the products included. Instead, I just got two products: a sample sized perfume (ok, I do know what to do with that!) and a day cream, which I would have liked more information about. As in, any information. No prices were included for the full size versions, etc.
And since this would have cost the same as a monthly subscription box which gives 5 products and information but had 2 products and no information, I would not have bought it on its own, just as the free add on with other purchase.
Getting the sample pack is always fun. I've tried several different product through it and it is a nice way to add a slight change to your beauty routine.4
I don't want to spoil it for anyone so I won't mention what comes in the mystery pack but it is definitely worth purchasing!5
The Sample Pack came with chapstick, tea bags, and a sample of hydrating lotion. I don't know that I would have spent $10 total on these items, mainly because they are things I would not normally buy (minus the chapstick). With that said, the tea tastes great and the lotion did a great job!4
