We know you love diving into samples as much as we do, and the Mystery Sample Pack gives you the chance to try some of our favorite products. Receive two samples for free by spending $35+ on any full-size products from the shop. It includes one deluxe sample and one standard sample that we’re especially excited about right this minute, and here’s the really fun part: Their identities will remain secret until you receive your order. Alternatively, you can purchase this mysterious sample duo on its own for $10.
well, I received my first Mystery Sample Box and I'm not sure what I thought might be in - I guess I just hoped it might be something I would be interested in trying and I'm open to trying most anything.
+ a foil sample of a leave in conditioner- I'm happy to try it (1 time use size)
- a small bottle of nail polish and I will admit I have an aversion to polishes- I don't polish my own nails and cant get the SBs to stop sending them and to add insult to injury it's an awful color (bright coral/orange)- here is BB's description of the color- "the fiery coral of Reign in Spain evokes summer days under the Mediterranean sun"
An odd choice for Mid-November, but like I said, I'm generally not thrilled to see a polish but this one added a little more "grrr" to the idea. Nothing to get terribly excited about so lesson learned- "Don't get too excited about this Mystery Sample pack, maybe something might show up might surprise you but don't count on it!"
I received a tiny sample of Obliphica Treatment Hair Serum and a deluxe sample of DDF Ultra Lite Oil Free Moisturizing Dew. The hair serum was very nourishing and did not make my thick hair feel heavy or greasy. The moisturizing dew went on smooth and absorbed quickly. My face felt moisturized all day even in the winter weather.5
I was really excited about getting free surprises... But ended up being kinda Meh about them. I mean they are nice, but lackluster. I got a conditioner and liquid loofah shower gel.3
Fun for free, but don't spend the $10. I have gotten this deal twice. The first time I loved my two samples. This time I was very underwhelmed. There is a mixture of both, so I wouldn't waste 10bucks on it. However it is fun if you are spending $35 anyway.3
I received two very small foil packets of hair product. Not sure which was supposed to be the deluxe sample. Lame.1
I got a great pick 2 with my annual subscription.
It came in a mini birchbox and I received:
1) a Ruffian nail polish remover towelette
2) a mini Beauty Protector protect/detangle spray
I just ran out of my thermal protectant, so this is good timing.
What a great way to kick off my introduction to Birchbox
I was so excited to get my myserty sample pack with my purchase, and when it came, it was SO SAD. It was two small hair products that both came in one of those un-recappable squeezey packets that you just tear the top off. Can't reuse it or, if you do save it, it gets all gooey. I cannot FATHOM that this is the same mystery sample I'd get if I had paid $10 for it?? God I hope not. So disappointing when all other samples from Birchbox are so great. Lesson learned. Pick my specific bonuses or be totally bummed.1
The samples I received in my mystery pack were very small, but I didn't pay the $10. If I had, I would have been disappointed. One of the samples worked well for me, the Obliphica Hair Serum, but the other one I couldn't really use because it was so highly scented. I understand that some mystery packs have really nice samples, I guess it's just the luck of the draw.2
1 oz conditioner and 0.25 argon oil not to impressed the conditioner made my hair appear oily I think if I put mayo on my hair I would get the same effect2
I only received foil packet samples. I cannot imagine having paid to get these samples. In fact I am pretty annoyed that I spent a little extra to get this sample packet. It was incredibly disappointing1
