This ringlet-loving sampler is your chance to try DevaCurl’s innovative curl care system. Each trio includes a creamy lather-free cleanser, a hydrating conditioner, and a lightweight, curl-defining gel. All three work with your hair’s natural texture, so you’re left with soft, shiny spirals without that pesky halo of frizz.
I have naturally curly hair and use refi rarely, curly hair specific products and have for a number of years. This one was by far, the worst. The non altering shampoo smelt like a chemical factory, and didn't seem to clense, there wasn't that clean feeling. The conditioner was slightly less offensive in smell, however , after letting it sit in my hair for about two minutes, left my hair a tangled mess. I actually had to use a comb the rid of the knots, and typically all I do is run my fingers and it's done. You know that crusty sea salty feeling your hair gets after going to the beach? That is what my freshly washed and conditioned hair felt like. The gel actually smelt good, fresh like a Granny Smith apple, and did a OK job but, both on it's own or lumped with the shampoo and conditioner- doesn't seem with the price. Sorry for the negative review, but the truth is, my hair smelt cleaner, looked less frizzy and was better kept before using the products- when it was dirty.1
I have used this system in the past. I don't like it. Didn't do what it claimed it would do.1
I have tried this product a couple of times. Maybe it's the lack of suds but I just don't feel that it cleans my hair well. I doubt I would purchase these products.1
I was really excited to try the DevaCurl 3 Step System, but it ultimately isn't the right system for me. I'm always trying to find products that moisture my curls without weighing them down or frizzing them out, and I really thought this system could work. Turns out this system left my hair greasy, limp, and extremely tangled. I even tried the system multiple times in case my hair needed to adjust to the system, but I had the same results each time. Just not right for me I suppose. Also, anyone with gluten sensitivities should note that steps 1 and 3 of the system contain wheat ingredients!1
I had been wanting to try this line and was so disappointed! Like others, I did not care for the smell. I also didn't feel like my hair felt soft and clean after washing. I was also disappointed in the 3 steps and felt that the hair gel did not do anything for my hair and was definitely not a strong enough product to stand alone on my fine wavy/curly frizzy hair.1
Unfortunately I don't think I'd purchase this product based on smell alone, which has a bite to it. Seems like it could functionally be a good product however the smell was a turn off for me.1
Part of my problem is the no-lather shampoo... I never feel like my hair is clean after not working up some suds. Throughout the day, my hair did not feel super soft. I won't be buying this product.1
I have tried DevaCurl several times always hoping for a different result. I have thick..and I mean thick...curly hair. Devacurl just didn't give me the curl or frizz control that I need.1
I don't have time to treat, retreat, and treat again my hair.1
I tried the sample twice and both time my hair felt very dry. The shampoo was fine, but the conditioner was too light and didn't provide enough moisture to the hair.1
