Step away from the harsh, hair-stripping shampoos. Meet No Poo, the “anti shampoo” that has revolutionized how curly girls wash their hair. This creamy lather-free cleanser gently cleanses curls without drying out your hair, so you’re left with soft, shiny spirals without that pesky halo of frizz.
This didn't really do very much for my hair. I didn't notice a difference after using it for a couple of washes.2
I have frizzy thick hair and this was just another shampoo, I wouldn't buy this and would recommend this, I would choose my $1 drugstore shampoo over this.2
I'm not a fan of cowashes. I don't like the fact that there is no lather and I felt my hair wasn't as clean as when I use a sulfate free shampoo.2
It didn't feel like it actually cleansed my hair of product very well. I couldn't tell if it was weighing down my hair, or if my hair was being weighed down from product build up. It wasn't so bad, so long as I used a more clarifying shampoo a couple times a week. But with my current shampoo, it's good enough to use my clarifying shampoo once a week.2
I really wanted to like this product but unfortunately it is just not making the cut. I have very thick curly/wavy hair and to get adequate coverage when using this product I have to use SO much! Three uses in and I'm halfway through the bottle. Unlike other no suds shampoos I have used this also does not leave my hair very smooth or de tangled. It takes quite a bit of conditioner after to get my hair manageable.2
I'm going to start off with just because I gave this product only 2 stars doesn't mean I wouldn't suggest it for other people.
Here are my reasons for my rating.....
1. Strong smell. The scent was not fruity nor floral, and I think I was just shocked and put off that it almost smelt like mens shampoo.
2. Neither drying nor hydrating. DevaCurl No-Poo cleanse claims its the "anti shampoo" and that it doesn't dry out your curls. While this seemed true, my curls were looking for a little extra moisture. So I really didn't notice the difference from using this product versus Herbal Essences None of your frizziness.
I just had a hard time telling if I had enough product and if it was working or not since there wasn't any lather.2
I am not a fan of this product. I don't like that it is lather-free. It just doesn't feel like it cleans my hair. It also left my hair curling in a very strange and frizzy way.2
After trying this out several times, I'm still not entirely sure if I love it. I love the way it feels refreshing and cooling on my scalp, but it leaves my hair greasy, even after making sure that I have completely rinsed it off. Overall though, I don't see much improvement in my frizzy and curly hair.3
This is a good shampoo even though it doesn't lather. My hair still feels clean and I love the smell.3
