Step away from the harsh, hair-stripping shampoos. Meet No Poo, the “anti shampoo” that has revolutionized how curly girls wash their hair. This creamy lather-free cleanser gently cleanses curls without drying out your hair, so you’re left with soft, shiny spirals without that pesky halo of frizz.
I've heard a lot of rave reviews for this brand in the past, so I was thrilled to get a sample in my box this month. The verdict after several uses: it's good, but not enough for me to switch from what I use already. It has the consistency of a conditioner, so I can use the shampoo (or, uh, No Poo) as a detangler, which I really like. I also like the smell, which is a powdery rose. It did bring some nice shine to my hair, even without using conditioner. Unfortunately, it leaves me frizzier than my regular products, which are already soap-free and full of good essential oils.4
My curls seemed to have been sticking, causing tangles. After this No-Poo cleanse my hair became more manageable.4
I was skeptical when i first lathered it on my hair because i wasn't used to the non-foaming type cleanser, but after i rinsed it out and felt the difference in my hair I fell in love with this product!4
My hair does what it wants - I have very little control over it. My hair is dry (from constant processing) and has a decent amount of frizz. I have been trying to move away from straightening my hair and embrace my natural curls. This prodcut worked so well for me. I used the cleanse only and put spray gel in my hair after showering. Even after sleeping on my hair, I woke up with good quality curls and less frizz. The scent is a bit strong while using, but it fades as your dries. I definitely look forward to the results with continued use.4
i have crazy curly hair and this really worked for me, i loved the smell and it made my hair softer than usual!4
I really liked this product for my curly hair, though it worked best when I did not have product in my hair before using it.4
IT was weird not having the sudsing action, but it definitely made my hair feel squeaky clean after. I love that the sample bottle was huge with enough uses to really tell if it's making a difference. Great product for those with naturally curly hair that is processed a lot (like mine!). I might pick this up in a set with the conditioner since i need something to coat my super fine curls to give them some weight. As for the scent... eh.... kinda medicinal but at least it's not strong and the hair products cover it up well.4
this shampoo was very good I liked it but didn't love it, as a curly haired person I am always looking for a great shampoo for my hair I liked it but its just not the one for me.4
I've been wanting to try this, but I've got a real issue with spending more than $10 on shampoo... It's soap! I am a big fan of co-washing, especially in the winter. I feel like my hair and scalp are softer using conditioner versus this product. After using this, I was more encouraged to co-wash more often, but not to shell out the $20. If money is no object, I definitely recommend!4
I liked, but didn't love this product. It was nice and thick, but I wasn't as happy with my hair as I have been with other curly hair conditioners.
