My hair looked pretty good with the DevaCurl Light Defining Gel so long as I also used the DevaCurl shampoo and conditioner... but those didn't make my hair feel very clean and when I switched to a different shampoo/conditioner combination I couldn't seem to get very good results with the gel. I had a lot of frizz and my curls weren't well-defined.

Too light

I got this gel as part of a 3 piece set. It is a good light gel, but m y hair needs a heavier gel to set the curls. I prefer using the regular gel instead.

Great for Curly Hair

I have tried many products for curly hair over the years, and this is the best and most effective so far. Sometimes the results are hit-or-miss, but generally this product helps me get my hair to do what I want it to do.

Good, but not my HG hair product
Purchased

This is a good product, and in my top 5. It's great for curls, but doesn't do as well on my frizz as I would like. Much better than most products, and I do recommend for curly hair.

Great!!!

I have naturally curly hair and this product is great! It defines my curls while keeping them soft. I highly recommend.

Light Gel

I loved the DevaCurl the first time I tried it and bought a full size. I have very wavy thick course hair and this gel smoothed the frizz and my hair has been so much easier to manage. You don't want to use much (I made that mistake) because it then can become heavy and unmanageable. Just a touch and you have really manageable hair. Love it.

Great

This product did a great job ith my curls. The day after I first tried it one of my second grade students said my hair looks "different and pretty". A coworker without knowing I had tried something new said my hair looked beautiful!

Defined curls

I have a difficult time switching products, especially since I have curly hair. I finally decided to give Deva Curl Define a try...and to my surprise, I was impressed. My curls are defined right from the root to the tip with no crispy feel. I'm looking to purchase this product today!

Deva Curl

Love this product. I've used it for about 2 years now. Weightless Curl. No Frizz. Works well with the whole system. If you have curly hair I highly recommend this line!

Love what this does for my hair

I had been using the Firm Hold for a while but was not satisfied, as it seemed too firm and made me itch. I discovered the lighter hold and I am very pleased with what it does for my hair. It makes smaller curls than I naturally have, and I need to use it with a moisturizer, but it has a nice gentle hold that feels very natural.
