Think of this CC cream as your favorite BB cream’s older (and wiser) sister. Like her kid sis, CC moisturizes, primes, brightens, and conceals, but also takes it to the next level by tackling dark spots and uneven skin tone. The result? An even, dewy, youthful finish.
I like that this product has such a high spf and am appreciate of creams that "do it all". This is really thick though and the "brightening" appears more as whitening on me. I will give this a little bit more time, but I've had better recently.4
I bought the Dr. Jart + BB Cream because I wanted a sunscreen/primer/foundation all in one. I was excited to try the CC cream because I had heard good things about it and was happy to see it in my Birchbox this month. When I tried it, though, I was disappointed that it has everything I don't want. It smells like sunscreen, is thick like sunscreen, is way too opaque, and I would not use this for a daily SPF moisturizer/foundation. Every once in a while at the beach this will work. But otherwise I'll stick with my BB Cream.3
coverage is light and summery, not heavy at all. love it5
My sample was really small only gave me enough for one application so I have an opinion on it.1
This is the perfect no makeup makeup...the days where you want to look like you didn't do much, but need to do a little to look that way. It evened out my skin tone and gave a nice glow. I would never use this in place of sun screen if I was outside for a long period of time, but with the SPF 40 it's good for days where you will be spending time outside and need some light coverage.5
I thought the product was very light and non-greasy but smelled heavily of sunscreen and didn't provide much coverage!2
I have Jouer's luminizing moisturizer tint, which in the summer is a little too luminizing. This CC cream covers more and has a little shimmer too. Perfect.5
The coverage on this product is actually pretty nice, but I can't get past the thick texture of the cream overall. I don't really like how it applies with a brush, and when I use my fingers it just pulls and tugs on my skin a lot. It feels really thick and creamy, which is just too much for my already oily summer skin. Also, the "dewey" effect it claims is definitely true, but unecessary for my skin type. Perhaps if you want this effect it would be good for you. Might be nicer in winter too.3
I'm so not a fan of this product. Super thick, greasy, stains.1
I didn't care for this cc cream. It was too dry and I had to work really hard to get it rubbed into my skin. It smelled so much like sunscreen as well. I think there are better cc & bb creams out there.2
