Think of this dry shampoo as a shot of espresso for your strands. Made with antioxidant and fatty acid-rich obliphica oil, this weightless spray simultaneously moisturizes and strengthens tresses, repairs split ends, and enhances shine, leaving hair bouncier and more voluminous. And because amika's dry shampoo relies on rice starch instead of aluminum shavings or talc, it's safe for color-treated hair.
I like this product pretty well. It has a pleasant smell which is a plus. It does what it's supposed to do...on those days when I just can't make myself wash my hair, this is great for a temporary spiff up. Then I can just throw it in a pony and go.
Con: it definitely doesn't leave your hair shiny, in fact it fills it quite a bit.
I have used this a few times but I still haven't decided whether the price is worth it to purchase this product over any other dry spray. I did like that the product is formulated to not leave your hair chalky or white, which is mostly true. The smell was nice, though a little strong.3
Just like the spray, this dry shampoo did not disappoint. It made my hair look like I had actually washed and dried my hair like I usually do. It did not weigh it down or make it look greasy.5
Can't say enough good things about this product! I have heavily highlighted hair to better blend all my white and grays. Also, I only wash my hair once a week. This dry shampoo doesn't leave behind a lot of residue and really helps stretch you to your next washing. This is a can't live without product!!!5
I have used several different dry shampoos and this is my favourite so far. The scent is a bit strong for my tastes, and it is much more expensive than the other brands I have tried. Aside from those issues this is a great dry shampoo. My hair still feels silky and does not feel like straw as I have seen with others. It fits give it some body but not so much that it acts like a hair spray. Before brushing in the morning I'll spray sections near my roots, mostly focusing on the front area of my scalp. There is a very slight white residue, but if you massage the product in, wait a few minutes and then brush, it is gone.5
I'm always skeptical of new dry shampoos but this one was amazing! Great smell, works really well, and doesn't leave any visible residue in the hair! This stuff saved me after 2 days of not washing my hair.5
Smells fantastic and removed all oil from my hair in a jiffy
Did exactly what a dry shampoo should and the instructions on bottle were easy to follow having not used this kind of prouct that often. That being said everyone has raved about the smell being great, but mine did not smell like anything at all, which struck me as strange. I compare a lot of these now to Oribe which I tried and worked great and smelled amazing, and this just didn't. It did do the job though, so it has that going for it.4
I love Amika products. I used up the sample of the spray for the bombshell blowout and bought a full size. I already love this dry shampoo because it's gentle on my color-treated hair and gives my hair more body without having to wash and blow dry it at the end of the day before going out for the evening.5
Does not do anything for oily roots but highlight them with thick white powder that looks like dandruff. An inadvisable product for brunettes.2
