Citrus scents are impossibly fresh, but they also have a habit of going missing after a few hours. Until now, that is. This concentrated, distinctive blend lasts much longer than traditional citrus scents. Orange Sanguine is meant to recreate a moment in time, and mimics the blissful feeling of sitting on an oceanfront terrace, with groves of orange trees off in the distance. The joyful scent has top notes of blood orange and bitter orange, a middle transition with jasmine and geranium, and a base of amber woods, tonka beans, and sandalwood.
I like scents that are very light. This did smell good but it just wasn't for me. Too fruity.2
Which is a bummer, because it's advertised as being specifically designed to last. The smell is a complex citrusy, herby, very sophisticated thing that isn't too girly but... it's gone in 2 hours. Which, given the price, is absurd.4
Would recommend this product. Birch box is awesome. They send you great trial products. And they are also not to exspensive.5
I cannot decide if I love it or hate. I have worn it a few times and think it's love.3
I really enjoy this scent and the sweet postcards that accompany these fragrance samples.5
Reminded me of a cleaning solution. My kids asked about slicing oranges. I just don't prefer to smell like a fruit bowl :(1
This smelled very yummy! Not sure it's my style but I would recommend it!4
To a west coast girl orange translates as fresh, clean and happy. To the french the scent of an orange is more like a candy flavoring. You would think that by virtue of being the more sexy blood orange that the fragrance would have come across as darker. Instead the european predilection for high alcohol content is all I feel on my skin. Nothing sultry about that. The packaging was a cute take though.1
Not too strong, nice scent. Stayed pretty true to original application and did not change as the day went by.4
At first this smells lite, citrus zest but after awhile it smells more and more like oranges3
