If your skin has an Edward Cullen-like pallor, it’s time to consider a sunless tanner. But be careful, eager beaver: Not all self-tanners are created equal (we don’t know about you, but we’d rather be pale than orange). We’re particularly smitten with these easy-to-use, travel-friendly towelettes, which give you a natural-looking faux glow—no sun exposure required.
I love this product - ordering again now. Gives you a nice glow and you do not look orange. It also doesn't have a strong scent like many of the self tanning products.5
I've been using the Tan Towel for about 5 years now. I admit, when I first heard about it, I was skeptical since I haven't had good luck with self tanners before. I must say, the Tan Towel literally changed that! It gives me that little bit of sun kissed skin without turning my skin bronzy, streaky, patchy much less the palms of my hands orange. It's gives me a perfect balance of sun kissed skin! I have fairly light to light skin that looks naturally tan with the Tan Towel :)5
Was very disappointed because the color was so nice! Seemed to streak more on my legs than my arms. One positive was that they didn't smell.1
I like these towelettes because they are easy to use and dry really quickly, but I am really fair and I don't think I get that much color from them. Plus, being tall (5'11") I find it's hard to cover everything with only one towelette. When you have to use two each time, they start to get really expensive. If I just want to get some color on my legs and maybe my arms, they are great.3
If you want a natural looking tan, but do not want to look orange, streaky and fake....do not but these!!! The first day you will think you look great and it turned out amazing. After the second or third day your hands, feet and limbs are so orange you are embarrassed to be seen in public . I exfoliated, and properly followed all instructions, and was still embarrassed by the results. I used 1 application and would never use it again! Total waste of money!1
I love these towels. I've used a self-tanning mousse for a couple of years, which I liked pretty well. But I adore these towels. You have to really work to make them streak, it dries quickly and leaves no sticky residue, and has a great scent. If you get the half-body size it's worth it to get the spray bottle, as I find they're easier to use when very damp. Highly recommended.5
I've tried this product a few times and it has resulted in tossing out the last 2 towelettes. It's very streaky as it starts to absorb into the skin and a little too orange than what i had in mind.
I do have a friend that likes to use this product, but she admitted it's not easy to apply without looking splotchy!
I haven't been tanning (indoor or outdoor) in years however I like the 'tanned look' and was looking for something that was subtle, buildable and easy to use. I used one wipe for my face, shoulders and arms which supplied PLENTY of color. I felt like an oompa loompa after just one application! I didn't think it provided me with a tan- it almost immediately turned an orange color. I was not satisfied with this product at all.1
I would recommend this product if you are going on a vacation or to some sort of party because they are pretty easy to apply and they produce a natural looking color. By boyfriend complimented me on it without even noticing that it looked fake. On the downside, they really don't last long. It could start getting expensive if you used there to maintain a constant tan.3
These have been great for me. I'm very fair skinned and perfer not to tan unless I'm at the beach. These add color without being streaky and its easy to apply. Probably not your best bet if you're looking for a dark tan but it layers nicely and can be used frequently for touch ups. Great the evening before a wedding or event!5
