We're smitten with TanTowel's easy-to-use, travel-friendly towelettes, which give you that perfect beachy glow without the risk of harmful UV exposure. The only slightly tricky part: Since the clear, mess-free formula dries so quickly, it can be tough to tell which parts you've bronzed and which you haven't until the formula has set. The solution: This complete kit, formulated for skin with a medium to dark tan, comes with towelettes and a handy mister, so you can get an even tan every time.
Sooooo this was wonderful! I'm a sun worshipper all summer, and I usually end up going to the tanning salon by February of every year, when I start feeling really gross. The older I get, however, the more I worry about fine lines, so I finally decided to order some of the dreaded self-tanner. I probably read every tip, trick and tutorial available before I finally just took a deep breath and applied my Tan Towel. I showered, exfoliated, applied the world's lightest layer of Cetaphil lotion, waited a few hours, put my hair in a ponytail with a headband holding my bangs back, donned latex gloves, and then just went for it, rubbing the wipe all over my body in big circles, starting at my legs and working my way up. I tried to make the half-body towelette last for my full body by re-misting it once it started to dry out, but I don't think I would do that again. A few hours later I had a barely-there tan with a really light face, so I ended up re-applying a second time, this time using two half-body towelettes, one for the butt down and the other for the tummy up. I went to sleep and woke up pretty tan, close to the shade I get from the real sun, just evener, with no redness. That tan lasted me a full 6 days until I finally decided to exfoliate and start over. Now I walk around feeling bad about how jealous everyone is of my bangin' winter tan. I'll definitely buy again, but probably just the towels next time, and not bother with the mist.5
I bought this and used it once. It may be more user error but i had streaks even though I followed the directions in applying it. it also had a slight orange hue, not too much though.3
I won't be without this product again! Smells great, dries quickly, not sticky or streaky. The spray can be used to dampen the towels so application at the end is as easy as the beginning. I've used several other self-tanning products, and this is by far the best. Lightweight so convenient for travel, too.5
I absoutely love the tan towels line. I have been a fan of theirs for a few years now and I am so excited that Birchbox carries them. I used to have to hunt for these products and now they are available here! This tan kit is great. I love the towels and this was my first time using the spray. It is a great way to re-wet your towels and get more tan for your buck! I highly recommend!5
I have tried sever tanning products and ended up looked streaky or orange! These are so easy to use, provide even color and many of my friends have commented on my "tan"!4
I am a pale blonde girl and this worked great for me. I love a good spray tan for special occasions, but this was perfect for day to day wear. I had a tan, but no spots or streaks. I Used it in the middle of the work week to see if anyone noticed, and I received a few compliments, but no one mentioned that I looked like darker or orange!5
I felt the tan towels did not form a deep tan. The tan was light, but it was even unlike most tan products.3
