Lately it seems like your Instagram feed serves as a neverending reminder of the beach vacay you're not on. You may be stuck in the office (for now, anyway), but that doesn't mean your locks can't get that post-ocean dip look. This all-natural mist gives you sexy beach hair, minus the sand in your swimsuit. Use it year-round for the perfect combination of body, natural movement, and a touch of shine, plus a lovely beachy rose scent.
I didn't realize this would make my hair dry and frizzy - the opposite effect I was going for. I thought it would just help my curls curl like they do at the beach but it only made them frizzy and dry. Decided to shelve this one.1
i love the way it smells. works nicely, i like the spray range. Its a really wonderful sea salt spray, doesn't feel chunky.5
I have tried so many salt sprays and continue to go back to the cheap Organix after every more expensive one I try. My hair is very straight, very fine but I have A LOT of it. I purchased this in the Mermaid Box. It didn't seem to work at all. My routine is to put it on my dry hair and scrunch my hair up in a ponytail holder or clip for about half an hour. When I did this and took the clip out my hair went back to normal like I put nothing in it. Not worth the purchase for my hair. It could work better on other types of hair though.2
This didn't work for my hair. I didn't get sexy beach hair- I got nothing, no waves or curls. I didn't like the scent either.
It was a good sized sample though.
I used the Mermaid Mane Sea Salt Spray on my hair before leaving for the shore this weekend. I don't know if it was the weather (lots of rain), or if I didn't use enough (other reviews talked about how it left their hair sticky, so I was cautious), but it didn't give me quite the effect I was hoping for. The scent was okay, not unpleasant, and it left my hair feeling just fine. I think I will try it again on a warmer/sunnier day, and use a bit more, to see if it works a bit better. Overall, I was pleased with how the product left my hair with slight but tamed waves!4
Although your hair smells just like the beach, if you have thick hair this spray isn't quite strong enough to really mermaidify your hair.2
I was really excited to try this salt spray. I love the packaging and the name, but it just didn't do anything for my hair. I have straight hair with a bit of wave, that easily curls with an iron or when air dried in the sun. I thought this spray would be perfect for my hair type, to give me beachy looking tossle without actually needing to air dry for hours. Sadly, it didn't do that, and just made my hair look messy.1
I've always been a fan of sea salt sprays in theory, but never found one that really impressed me until now. I first tried this product in the Modern Mermaid box and instantly fell in love. It smells heavenly (a light rose scent) and works extremely well. I have very fine wavy hair that I usually blow out straight. However I've been letting my waves roam free this summer thanks to this product. A few spritzes, a couple scrunches, and I'm done. It also works great to revive second day waves just as quickly (maybe even better). This product will remain a must in my routine arsenal of hair care.5
I received this in my mermaid box right before going on vacation. I loved it. I would let my hair just dry naturally and then spray this and go. Worked really well.5
This stuff is definitely not worth over $20. It did absolutely nothing for my hair except make it wet. I do like the smell though3
