Situation: Your hair is dry and brittle and you’re a few weeks (perhaps a few paychecks) away from a trim. Solution: A super-hydrating leave-in treatment. We’re partial to Number 4’s™ Lumiere d’hiver Reconstructing Masque because it infuses moisture and protein (the two things that hair needs most!) into strands, leaving our hair soft, shiny, and in far better shape than it was before.
this was ineffective for me. i have long, bleached, thick coarse hair. it will take a lot more to make me see and feel a difference.1
Do not use! I used this product and lost so much hair in the shower!! It was disgusting and scary!1
I have curly, somewhat dry hair and this didn't help my hair out at all, in fact, my hair felt more dry after I put this on. It was this only birchbox sample I've thrown away.1
There wasn't anything wrong with this product but nothing special either. I'm not a fan of foil packets, in particular hair products. Unfortunately, this sample was a small foil packet. With my longer hair, I need more than that. This sounds dumb, but the type on the foil packet was sooooooooo tiny, I didn't realize that it was a leave-in till after the fact. What's legible is Reconstructing Masque, which leads me to think it's a rinse out.
Also, one time of use doesn't give a real chance to review the product.
I used this product on my hair after shampooing and, after drying my hair, I immediately felt like my hair was crunchy and parched. I washed my hair the next night and used my usual conditioner and it was so much softer. Will not use this product again.1
I'm disappointed in how many hair products have dimethicone, which doesn't hydrate or help nourish dry hair...it just leaves a film/coating to make it look shiny. This product weighs my hair down, so not for me.1
This was like a de-construction mask for me! It made my hair looks worst than before, dull and dry. Plus it made me loose hair. Not good at all...1
No.4 products smell disgusting. This hair mask smelled like moth balls, and it did absolutely nothing for my hair. If anything, it made my hair frizzier.1
Like it's shampoo counterpart this conditioner has a fowl smell. No hints of floral or white freesia as advertised. The shampoo left my hair feeling like shampoo, which the conditioner help soften, but no more than $2.99 suave generic conditioner. Not worth the splurge to me.1
Left my hair feeling like thick straw. Not a good product for normal hair. Might work better on someone with really dry hair.1
