As the saying goes, two is better than one. When it comes to LAQA & Co.'s fat lip pencils, we couldn't agree more. After all, these gloss-delivering pencils require no sharpener and give lips a vibrant sheen. Luckily, the company recently released the pencils in the form of a travel-friendly duo. The smooth shea-butter complex moisturizes and coats lips with saturated, glossy color, in two high-energy shades.
After the first application I was like, "woah, too bright!". To tone it down, I blotted my lips with some tissue and voila! - perfect! I even blended this color with an orangey Mirenesse color and it was simply fab!!!4
It stayed on my lips...but strayed to my face (feathered). I like the shine it had. I'm olive skinned and these colors looked horrible. I felt like i looked like those old ladys in the bingo hall.1
I wasn't sure about the lipstick when I got the sample in my box because I don't wear lipstick and the pigment was so bright. But I have to say the texture is really nice and smooth and I can take the bright pink and layer it with a red for a color that I like and can wear. I started off a skeptic but I'm really impressed. Staying power isn't very good though. That's the only downside.4
I got the Pinkman sample in my box. The color worked great with my skin tone. It really popped!
Best thing about this product is that it lasts a very long time (like a lip stain) without that dry feeling. Lips feel moisturized all day long. The color doesn't come off easily, so don't worry about eating or drinking. And my fiance loves that it doesn't stain him when I give him a kiss. :)
Reminds me of Girl About Town from Mac. Stayed on for a long period and did not smudge. Would def purchase!5
I received the pinkish color and I loved the color. However it end up drying my lips a little and was small enough to put in my bag.3
But when I recieved it in my Birchbox and tried it I actually loved it and it now has a permanent place in my purse. For fair skinned ladies like myself a dab will do . I mix it with my lip balm and it makes for a perfect shade of lightly bright pink. And the minty smell is just great . I would totally buy this product but in a much lighter shade so I don't need to dull it with my lip balm though.3
I thought that for a lip pencil/crayon it had great pigment and was long lasting. It was a very bright pink and while I liked it, I could see how that could turn a lot of people off.5
As soon as I used it, I realized I didn't like it. It went on too thick, felt weird on my lips, and the bright pink was not the color for me.3
The color is very vibrant and last a long time. I have gotten several compliments on it. However, it does taste a little waxy, almost reminds me of a melted crayon; very odd. It mixes well with other lipsticks. I like to mix it with a matte nude to calm the vibrant color and give it a new look from wear to wear.3
