While ‘wash and wear’ is fine and dandy for some, curly hair girls know that it takes a bit more effort to get gorgeous hair every day. To that end, Ouidad’s Climate Control Heat & Humidity Gel is a lifesaver, with a unique formula that responds (read: defrizzes) to humidity. We love how the formula tames frizz and coaxes unruly curls into shape without leaving them crunchy.
It was ok. Defiantly not worth $16. For the purpose of controlling frizz in heat and humidity I prefer my Suave Professionals Captivating Curls Whipped Cream Mouse that I paid $2.89 for.
I really don't mind paying for quality and if this had performed better then the Suave I'd buy it at $16 but bottom line is it didn't perform nearly as well so I'm going to stick with what works which happens to be a fraction of the cost.
Is it supposed to make your hair crusty? I didn't feel it was innovative at all! My curls fell flat and almost had that crispy texture like they did in the 90s. I'll give it another shot in the future but my first impression wasn't great.2
I have tried this product numerous times and I didn't achieve the degree of frizz control I was looking for. I does make my hair a little softer, but nothing to scream about.2
This gel just didn't stand out to me. I liked the texture of it but it didn't work well with my hair.2
My hair definitely isn't curly, but I figured I'd give this a try anyway. My hair isn't really straight either, but not wavy enough to be wavy... That in between I like to call "straivy"... I was hoping this would help smooth and hold the waves I do have, but it didn't... It didn't seem to make much difference to my hair at all. I'll probably give it another try sometime, but I doubt if the results will be different. Oh well. Thanks!2
I have very curly hair and live in a very humid environment. Although my hair didn't get huge the second I stepped outside, it didn't seem to tame the flyaways.2
I just felt that this sample wasn't very unique or exciting - I find the cosmetics and even fragrance more interesting than the hair gels - and it also didn't look like a "deluxe" sample size. I've enjoyed previous boxes more than this month's selection.2
I did not like the way this gel made my hair feel. It didn't work as well as I hoped that it would.2
As a person with curly hair I just wasn't wowed by it. It didn't hold it together as much as I would have liked it. Maybe it's meant to go with a style as well I'm not entirely sure but not a fan.2
I don't think it was the right product for my hair type. It smells really good, but I don't have curly hair. It felt a little sticky and didn't really do anything to improve the look of my hair.2
