While ‘wash and wear’ is fine and dandy for some, curly hair girls know that it takes a bit more effort to get gorgeous hair every day. To that end, Ouidad’s Climate Control Heat & Humidity Gel is a lifesaver, with a unique formula that responds (read: defrizzes) to humidity. We love how the formula tames frizz and coaxes unruly curls into shape without leaving them crunchy.
It did nothing for my hair and the texture of the product is kind of sticky since it is a "gel".I'll stick to my texture cream from Paul Mitchell to leave my hair soft, humidity controlled and with perky curls.2
Probably a great product, but just didn't work on my hair type.2
It was both not moisturizing enough for my hair and too heavy. It looked greasy (which my hair never does, I'm an infrequent washer) and dirty soon after, even when I used less.2
I have really curly n thick hair so when i put it on my hair to wera down i wasnt pleased because it made the top layer of my hair hardened curls but everything underneath was frizzy and flufffy :(2
I don't have curly hair, and this product is meant for curly hair so it was pretty much useless to me.2
I think that this gel could be really good for someone who wants a more sculpted look, or has shorter hair. I prefer to wear mine naturally curly, and the gel made it look wet. It felt nice, just looked a little weird.2
I have really curly hair, and this gel was just too drying and seemed to suck the shine right out of my curls. I also didn't notice any reduction in frizz or any more control than I have when using a creme.2
It didn't give me enough hold. My curls went limp after a few hours2
It was ok. Defiantly not worth $16. For the purpose of controlling frizz in heat and humidity I prefer my Suave Professionals Captivating Curls Whipped Cream Mouse that I paid $2.89 for.
I really don't mind paying for quality and if this had performed better then the Suave I'd buy it at $16 but bottom line is it didn't perform nearly as well so I'm going to stick with what works which happens to be a fraction of the cost.
Is it supposed to make your hair crusty? I didn't feel it was innovative at all! My curls fell flat and almost had that crispy texture like they did in the 90s. I'll give it another shot in the future but my first impression wasn't great.2
