While ‘wash and wear’ is fine and dandy for some, curly hair girls know that it takes a bit more effort to get gorgeous hair every day. To that end, Ouidad’s Climate Control Heat & Humidity Gel is a lifesaver, with a unique formula that responds (read: defrizzes) to humidity. We love how the formula tames frizz and coaxes unruly curls into shape without leaving them crunchy.
I may not have used enough, because it didnt seem to keep my curld tamed on the top layers of my hair.3
It just turned cold here, so I'm not sure I got the whole experience with it.3
Not sure if I like this yet, it actually made my hair poofy! :( I'll try it out again. Thanks Birchbox!3
Didn't really work for me but I'd still like to try some of their other products.3
It was okay - probably my least favorite from my box. I hardly use gel, but I gave it a try. I had a few little flakes when it dried, but wasn't really stiff, but still had good hold!3
I think it was nice as far as gels go, but I hate the wet curl look, and no matter how little of this I used or how I placed it, I got a little bit of that look with this product. My hair is thick, but wavy/curly, not tightly curled, so I tend to prefer cream products to control my texture. This product certainly smelled nice, though!3
I liked how this gel somewhat made my hair a bit more humidity resistant but it really did nothing for my waves/curls in terms of enhancing or moisturizing them.3
I've seen this around. I live in a hot & humid area during the summer months so this was a welcome sample. Unfortunately, no hair product can keep all the humidity from making my hair frizzy but this does help a lot. Glad to try this out and will definitely look at this brand when purchasing new hair care.3
It definitely does what it says it does, but come to find out i like the friz in my hair. Without it my hair isn't big and fluffy. I'm going to give it a try with straight hair. I think it will work out better for that.3
I *just* had a Brazillian Blowout, so I'm not actually a frizzy girl at the moment (happy dance!). I have not yet tried this sample, as I don't want to mess with my hair routine right now. I'll try it in a few months when my treatment wears off. Liking the idea though, and I hadn't heard of this comapny before, so it was a good introduction; just bad timing. That aside, I was not impressed with the presentation of this sample. I have really thick hair and this is just not enough product to make an impression. The cardboard looked cheap and I think a bottle would have been much better packaging.3
