While ‘wash and wear’ is fine and dandy for some, curly hair girls know that it takes a bit more effort to get gorgeous hair every day. To that end, Ouidad’s Climate Control Heat & Humidity Gel is a lifesaver, with a unique formula that responds (read: defrizzes) to humidity. We love how the formula tames frizz and coaxes unruly curls into shape without leaving them crunchy.
This product did a great job of controlling my frizzy hair and helping to shape my curls. My biggest complaint is that it made my hair pretty "crispy" rather than leaving it soft. The smell is also nice.4
This stuff is great...the hold is light, and it stands up against the rough Arkansas humidity! Leaves my curls bouncy and feeling amazing!5
love ouidad products. this works great with the sea salt spray4
While on a trip to Walt Disney World ( heat and humidity plus rides), I decided to try this product for the first time. I thought for sure that it would be all it's cracked up to be and what better place to try it then when i'm going to be in the heat and humidity all day. I was very disappointed in the product. I really didn't notice that this did anything for my hair. I would not purchase this and may not even use all of my sample.1
I have mixed feelings about this product - I do think it works well as a frizz tamer, but it asks that you put such a ton of it in your hair that your hair ends up sticky.3
This works fairly well if you use their application technique. However, their technique doesn't get my hair curly and you have to have time to air dry your hair. It didn't work well for me using any technique but the one they recommend3
This product works great! I have thick curly hair and with the humidity it can get real big and frizzy. This product helped tame it3
I have curly hair and have hated it when Birchbox sent me a curly hair tamer type thing since I normally blow my hair out so it won't be curly. Last month I got my hair cut in what's fashionably called a "curly bob" which just means that people like me can get a bob and don't have to screw with blowing it out. SO I thank God for this product. Put it on your damp hair, rake it through from root to tip and leave the house with damp hair if you want. This whole concept is foreign to me. I've used products that proclaimed to do this before, but never used them twice. My only choice has always been, blow dry straight or plop on top of your head until dry then enjoy your curls. The actuality of putting something in my hair that works keeping my individual curls individual and not frizzy or messy is a little bit of heaven.5
It did help with humidity control, but it made my curls crunchy rather than soft.3
I have thick wavy hair thats hard to tame- but this product seemed to do the trick. Not too heavy, just right.4
